  1. Hi All I thought it's a good idea to start a thread where MS aspirants share their application status and provide suggestions to help others. Would be better if I found an already alive page, but found none. So, let me start by my own. I'm pursuer of MS Petroleum Engineering at Texas A & M, University of Texas at Autin, Stanford. My application strengths are: GRE: V150/Q161 (took today, TOEFL to be taken) GPA: 3.7 2 years relevant experience One Student level paper presented at SPE Regional Paper Contest (Qatar TAMU). Realize my GRE "Q" is low though haven't recieved my percentile yet. My first target is Texas A & M whose deadline is March 01, 2014. ...kindly provide your valuable evaluation... Thanks

  4. Hi Thanks for starting the thread, don't be chagrined by meager of visits because this field kinda less common! Any ways, im from Pakistan planning to apply for MS in PE for TAMU, Austin, Stanford... just got GRE score V.150, Q.161. Gonna take toelf shortly. Know my Q needs improvement, but this score together with GPA 3.7, ~2 Yrs industry experience, and one student level Paper presented at SPE Regional Contest at Qatar... (few other extra curricular achievements) Kindly provide your valuable feedback on strength of my application... Thanks.
  5. What I judge is that for "41" possible scores and "40" questions-together in both sections- GRE scores are usually correspond to number to RIGHT ANSWERS - though percentiles and difficultly levels always may come into play as we all know. In Power Prep found this relation pretty close to scores. I found myself incorrigible at verbal and very confused which scores should I believe...I'm sharing my results on different simulators. PP: V 144 (14/40) : Q 161 (32 / 40) Manhattan: V 156 : Q 163, V 155 : Q 162, V 147: 163 Princeton Review: V 149 : Q 162 Kaplan: V 142 : Q 164 Verbal behaves so capricious with me .... don't know what gonna happen on monday (Feb 03, 2014 Real GRE).
