Yep, that's a pretty fair assessment of that area. It's also right on a number of bus lines that make it really easy to get to campus. If you don't want to be around loud undergrads, you should avoid the area that spans a couple of blocks west of Engineering, a couple of blocks south (to Regent St. or so), and east out to the Capitol.
  2. I'm feeling the same way! It's going to be a big change for me, though - I'm coming from the midwest, currently living in Madison, Wisconsin. I'll be in the joint Neuropsychology & Behavioral Neuroscience-Clinical Psychology program. You're doing SLP?

Hi all, I'm heading to GSU in the fall, and I'm wondering what banks/credit unions are prominent in Atlanta. Are there any that you'd particularly recommend or suggest avoiding? Thanks! P.S. If anyone on this thread is looking for a female apartment hunting buddy or new roommate beginning in August, feel free to message me!

If you're interested in renting, check out http://www.madisonapartmentliving.com - it covers a wide array of locations and landlords. In terms of buses, you might find it useful to just refer to the full city map of bus routes (http://www.cityofmadison.com/metro/schedules/SystemMaps/WeekdayMap.pdf) as you look at potential housing situations.
  6. B.S. in Biology with a Neuro concentration + Psychology as a secondary major (slightly different than a double major just because the two were in difference colleges at my university and I was in the Bio program first)
