Congrats to those who were accepted at UC. I was put on the waiting list, and am curious what is the focus of the archaeology students who were accepted.
I saw on the results page that a few people have received rejections from University of Washington (Seattle). Has anyone received an acceptance offer yet? I applied and haven't received either a rejection or acceptance, so I do not know what to think.
I also want to thank you for posting your information. It is always valuable to hear what past applicants experienced. I too am a bit confused about funding. Do you by chance remember a ballpark estimate of what their funding package was like and do they fund all their admitted students?
I didn't get a phone call, but an email. MY POI said I was on the shortlist and told me what the typical funding package was if I was accepted. I do not know if this is something to prepare for or not, but I am expecting to be asked about my research, goals, and why Cincinnati.
I couldn't agree more...just referring to the track that I would take at Cincinnati. Based on your prior post it looks like we were informed by different professors.
I also received an email inviting me for a prospective student visit. The professor who emailed me specifically mentioned what professors I would meet with for an interview. I am from the US so I am certainly going to attend. Marcus Tullius, I do Classical Archaeology, but I'm sure I will get my fair share of Aegean bronze age if I am admitted.
Thanks! It will be my first time to the west coast. Do you know if all students there are funded? I was told funding would not be decided until late February / early March.
I am a Classical Archaeologist on the Greek side. My interests include gender, vase-painting and sculpture. I have yet to hear from any of the five schools applied to, but I haven't seen anything on the results page from them either.
