The other Cornell acceptance was me. I'm mostly quiet on here, but figured I should post results, since I'm guessing that a lot of people are following them as obsessively as I am. And I'd like to add to the praise for your fantastic username

Probably not? I am waitlisted, and I received an email from the grad school telling me to check my app status, and then the next day also received an email from the director of graduate studies in the anthro department letting me know some of the details about being waitlisted.

Waitlisted at Duke. Sighhhh...

They interviewed their semifinalists last week. Apparently they're releasing decisions today, but I interviewed and haven't heard back yet :\

There were two interviews for Duke posted in the results this past week...

I've never really paid much attention to that, though there is certainly a divide within the department (mostly because I've been pretty deeply entrenched on the critical side of things). I am fairly certain that the med anthro profs choose the incoming med anthro students, if that helps any... Oh, and I will say this- disregarding the internal politics and divides within the department for a moment, all of the faculty are well versed in each other's work, and certainly recognize a good match between faculty and student when they see one.
