    Just bought readers (to wear WITH my contacts) at Walmart because I'm too broke to go to the eye doctor and too broke to buy new bifocal lenses for my glasses/contacts. But on the plus side, now I can see.

      Without insurance, it would have been around $150 at the place I went to last week in Houston. Do you have coverage? My copay was $35.

      Also, you can get bifocals online for like less than $60 if you just want the basics: eyebuydirect.com

      I have insurance, but it's school insurance so there's all sorts of stipulations I don't have the patience to figure out. I'm also still trying to figure out how I'm going to pay the bills from my ER visits in August. Hence, no eyecare right now. The readers I bought yesterday seem to be working fine.
