Colorado State rejection email....ouch

Haven't heard back from them yet! How did it go (if you talked to her by now of course? Do you mind telling me who your POI is?

I was poking around their FAQ page and it says this: "When will applicants receive notification about selection decisions? The admission process takes between eight and ten weeks. If you are accepted into the program, then you should be notified within the first two weeks of February. However, if you are placed on a waiting list, it could take longer." I'm in the same boat as you...waiting to hear back. If we haven't heard anything by this next week, I'm thinking maybe waitlist or rejection maybe?

I got an email about a phone interview for Akron this afternoon, as well! Interview is for tomorrow. Let's see what they got going on... Also totally interested in the Colorado State report. I wants. To know. The deal.

Got accepted to Saint Louis University this past Tuesday! Anybody hear anything about Colorado State or Rice yet?

Just got done with my first one! For the most part, she was kind of selling her school to me, which I thought was really great. She made sure to tell me why she thought I was a good fit for her lab based on my SOP, and ended up answering most of my prepared questions about collaboration and expectations of graduate students in the program without me having to ask! One thing she did ask that I wasn't necessarily prepared for was whether I had an idea/direction for a First Year Project, which is a part of their curriculum. I told her that I honestly didn't know at this point... So be prepared for that just in case
