  1. Rejected from Columbia as well...post-interview.
  2. I wish harvard would send out their rejections already! I feel more impatient for anticipated and implied rejections vs acceptances! a little crazy?
  3. I didn't contact any faculty members and have been accepted to a few programs so far! I'm not really sure how much contacting faculty members will help, but i don't think it hurts!
  4. The link appears at the bottom of the page, right under the last listed item, which should be something like "other supporting documents". Hope that helps!
  5. A very short letter was finally posted that i was waitlisted
  6. hmm, mine still does not have a link. I was assuming it was a rejection because in the past years students were notified via email and not the website (usually around this date). You will probably get an email today!
  7. Does anyone else have the following posted on their JHSPH application, "Preliminary Decision Reached - Please click the link below under Decision Status to view your decision". This appeared on my application, but there is no link to click!! I am guessing this means a rejection...
  8. For Epidemiology Phd programs, Harvard, UW, UNC, Upitt don't typically interview. I actually have no clue if BU interviews, but it seems to be mixed based on past posts. Columbia, Hopkins and Yale all seem to require interviews. Also, I wouldn't be too discouraged! It is promising that you were waitlisted at UW instead of rejected. They seem to be pretty strict on high GRE and GPAs as well as having substantial research experience and you clearly made the cut! I am sure you will be receiving good news soon!
  9. I had an interview last week and they told me that they were interviewing candidates who had made their "short list". They also told me that they had over 180 applicants and they usually admit around 10% of the applicants...so approximately 18 admits for the epi phd program this year. Not sure how many people they interview or when they send out all the notifications for interviews!
  10. I applied to UPitt (probably rejected at this point since they seemed to have sent out so many acceptances this week), UNC, HSPH (SD) and JHSPH with a focus mainly in cancer epi. For some background, i have a master's in epidemiology and a couple first author publications.
  11. Thanks! It's nice to hear about applicants that are being accepted (and/or rejected), their background and research focus! There seems to have been quite a few results posted for PhDs in epi at emory, brown (interviews), ucsf (interviews), unc, and quite a few for upitt, but not too much talk about it here! I applied to phd epi programs this year and am anxiously waiting, but haven't heard anything yet!
  12. Has anyone heard from the epidemiology program at UCSF? I saw a notice posted yesterday for an interview in the results section!
  13. Hi Sharonnyc, do you mind sharing what area of focus you applied to at UNC? Also, congrats on the acceptance!
