UMD admit here. First of all, my subfield is IR or CP. My email came from the DGS informing me of my admission and asking to set up a time to talk. Attached was the official letter which gave info on funding and how to accept/decline the offer. Hope this helps; let me know if there's anything else I can do.

I'm sorry, but hang in there! Where do you see the notification? I haven't heard from them and my application says "under review."

Congrats on NYU, and also on the Chicago waitlist! Now that we know that waitlist notifications were sent in addition to acceptances, I think I'll give up that shred of hope to which I was clinging.

Congrats to ohhemingway and the other UChicago admits! As for those of us who haven't heard from UChicago: should we hold out hope, or is it looking pretty grim?

Hey everyone, I'm a longtime lurker who just created an account. I am here to claim the UNT acceptance and ask a question. I received an email last week from a member of the Department of Government and Politics at the University of Maryland (College Park) that said something like: "Our admissions committee is very interested in your application. There are a number of funding awards that you may be eligible to be nominated for. We need a copy of your transcripts for the admissions committee to look over because they are meeting now." Apparently there was a mixup between the department and enrollment services (where I had my transcripts sent). So anyways, I sent them a copy of my transcripts, and since then, enrollment services has scanned my transcripts onto my application. I haven't heard anything since then, and I was just wondering how everyone would assess this message. Any input will be appreciated!
