Any updates?

My GEM employer status just went from Released to Matched this morning.

Same thing happened to me :/

So does that mean that 2/3 of fellowship recipients have been notified? Excited to hear about this one way or the other.

I'm pretty sure all the costs lie with us. Like I said I live in LA currently so it's just a 30 min drive away but I can see where this would cause issues if I was out of state.

Yeah I believe so too. Fortunately for me, I live in LA so it's not bad at all for me, but I can see where this could be an issue. I certainly wouldn't attend if I was OOS and had to cover the costs of travel and lodging.

It was actually the first school I heard from. Early January I got the unofficial acceptance and then heard officially about a month ago maybe 3 weeks.

Domestic, and thanks, pretty excited about it all but still awaiting funding offers and decisions from some schools!

Visit day is going to be on the 7th of March. I got an email from Angie Castillo last week.

Admitted but no word about funding.

Had a Skype interview for my UPenn admit and CSU as well

Got into UCLA today! Acceptance via e-mail.

Cornell is one of my top choices so thanks! Good luck as USC if you choose to go there, I got the rejection on Friday but it wasn't my top choice, so life goes on.

Congrats on both schools! Cornell is one of my top choices so I don't think it bodes well for me that I didn't hear back today. Who knows maybe I'll get some good news next week.

How did they hear from both of those programs? Email? Call? Web portal?

Nothing on my end. Employer status still says 'released' and 9/11 schools have verified me. How about you?

yep, one official "unofficial" one that has to be scanned in and a sealed official one to be sent in. Luckily my school doesn't charge for transcripts.

Good to know Petr. thanks for the info. The wait is killing me but I figure it all be over in 2 weeks then.

Applied to UMich for PhD and heard back last week that they lost my transcripts. At least they're reviewing my app.
