  1. Crossing my fingers!
  2. This meme is too accurate. O_O!
  3. Ahhh!! The wait is driving me nuts! One of those days... >.<!!!
  4. LOL I love your meme images!
  5. I could not have said it better.
  6. Ah! That is excellent! I hope that we both get it! I hope you have something that can busy your mind enough. Anticipation can drive anyone up the wall, especially for something so important. 加油!!!
  7. Goodness! Congratulations to those who are already receiving grants! I am on the edge of my seat with everyone else waiting...if I didn't have a 19 credit semester, Fulbright would be the only thing I'd be thinking about. I think about it all of the time but there is room to think about my other classes and trying to breath...if that makes sense, haha! Anyway, the wait continues...based on the excel document, I should be hearing about around the first week of April. The other day, I was like..."Omg...exactly a month away...". O_o I need some strength. lol I figure in the meantime I will focus all of my energies in managing my extremely busy last semester. And into the heavy expenses to prepare for graduation. Whew. Can't wait to graduate, that's for sure.
  8. I did the same!
  9. I am currently waiting to hear final notification for intermediate Chinese. Today is a holiday, President's Day, so they were closed! I was hoping to hear exactly in mid-February (Feb 14th) since they were exact on the date last month when I was notified that I had made the first round. Fingers are crossed! I am on a mission to become fluent in Mandarin. Immersion is critical!
  10. I was going to but after my time in Taiwan, I decided against it and focused on applying to certain abroad opportunities to gain fluency in Mandarin. Of course, I could defer but decided not to put the energy into the graduate applications which was for the best since I had a lot going on during the time. If I had, I definitely would have deferred. If I receive the Fulbright or any of the other programs that I applied to, I will have more than enough time to put in place my other funding options for a fully funded graduate degree. I have been doing a lot of research on a variety of options so I have several strong plans in place. Right now, I am trying to keep track of accepting the abroad programs that I have applied to and ensure that I have enough time to know if I got the Fulbright or not. Last thing I want to do is accept something else and find out I got the Fulbright. O_o Fulbright is Plan A. Period!
  11. Wow! I have always wanted to go to Greece...growing up and up to now, I've always enjoyed the variety of themes in Greek mythology. I always know that one day I will be in Greece just to see the beauty of it for myself. My former Ancient Tragedy professor and I discuss it often. I hope that you will have the ETA to Greece! Aw man, we gotta stay strong on this one!!! I check my gmail too often...it slowed down when I received consistent responses that ETA to Taiwan applicants are informed the first week of April or two if they were chosen or not so I might as well focus on my homework. This forum is definitely a great release though!
  12. DC_Bee -- that is amazing! Congratulations!
  13. Hi Chandelier, Goodness! Recommended twice! That is excellent and I applaud you for trying again. I wish you all the best for this round! Thank you for the feedback on last year's notifications! I contacted one of my friends, she applied to an ETA two years ago and she also said that it was around early April that she found out about it as well. I'm using my homework to keep myself as occupied as possible! You're right, no point stressing out now! There's a ways to go!!!
  14. Hello! Thank you for the welcome! I'm glad I stumbled across you guys too! :-) I am glad to be around people that are also biting their nails and trying desperately not to scream! LOL It is rough for me to stay focused. I'm glad to make it past the first round but I have still not heard who they are yet! Goodness, if I needed an interview for the ETA, I definitely would have taken you up on that! I appreciate the offer. :-) Which country did you apply for the ETA if you don't mind my asking?
  15. Hello everyone! I was just googling information on the next step of the Fulbright process and stumbled across this website. I knew I had to make an account when I saw people also excited about the Fulbright. Congratulations to all of you for making the first round. When I got my email Tuesday evening, I was screaming for a LOOONNG time! I was SO excited! I put my blood, sweat, and tears into those essays. I applied for an ETA to Taiwan. I've been studying Mandarin for almost three years now and have already been to Taiwan, etc etc blah blah blah. Ha! Anyway, looking forward to interacting with you all. :-) I'm sending out my transcript tomorrow!
