  1. Thanks... The funding offered was pretty low compared to how much tuition is at Duke. They offered 6000$ the second and third semester with a GA/TA position.
  2. Accepted into Duke's MFA Documentary program !
  3. Sorry to hear about UO..... How were you notified? Looks like we both applied to photo and had interviews the same day, my app status still says pending on their website.
  4. I have not heard anything at all from Duke. They have an awesome Documentary program with amazing faculty with good connections, hoping to hear something soon. I'm thinking sometime next week.
  5. Thanks for all the info, much appreciated. Where all are you applying too? Did you get any acceptance notices yet??
  6. Oh cool How Is UW's Photo program? Good facilities and faculty? I interviewed with Rebecca Cummins, she seemed really cool.
  7. Hey Shaoceptual, I applied to University of Washington Seattle/Photomedia. Did you have an interview? I had one a month ago and still now word.
  8. Thanks, but I'm doing fine. Those schools did have really amazing photo programs, but I've been accepted to one school with tuition waiver plus TA stipend and had interviews at two other schools, so I can't complain.
  9. Double rejection Monday... from Univ New Mexico and Univ of Georgia
  10. Sorry to hear that about UNM, you still have plenty of schools left though... I'm still in the dark about UNM.
  11. Rother... LSU was up there for me, they have good funding, decent program and facilities, but the main reason LSU was top on my list was it's location. I think I could produce my best work with the landscape in Louisiana along the Mississippi versus a school in the Northeast. Northeast has way more prestigious schools but I don't think I would be as visually inspired in upstate New York as I would be in Louisiana. And I haven't heard anything from Tulane, UNM, or ASU. I did have a phone interview with the Univ of Oregon 1/17.
  12. Just got a phone call from LSU letting me know I've been accepted with tuition waver AND stipend. YAY ! ! Real excited !
  13. Hey there fellow photo MFAian. I've had two interviews, University of Oregon and Washington University (WashU), in the middle of January. I got really excited to get such quick responses from those programs, but not a word form any other school since.
  14. I really really like UGA's program and Athens too. I think it might be a long shot for photo this year though. I talked to someone in the art admissions department at UGA and she said that they admitted 4 peolpe to the photo program last year, so the number that get in the program this year will be very limited, 1 or 2. Fingers crossed. Applied: Univ Oregon- phone interview 1/17 UGA Washington Univ- phone interview 1/26 ASU UNM VCU Tulane LSU
  15. Hello all, Just finished my final MFA app! Jesus, that was a bit stressfull, didn't decide to apply to grad school until late December (awful idea). Which means I have been doing a lot of scrambling the last couple months to get all my transcripts (from 4 different schools), lettes of rec, portfolio ready, etc. Feels good to finally be done and out of my hands at this point. I've two phone interviews so far, Univ Oregon and WUSTL. I guess that they went well, hard to say though. I think I kind of talked in circles a few times not really answering the question. Just hoping that that my photography that leans on the documentary side versus conceptual won't hurt my chances of being accepted. Just waiting now, checking my email 180 times a day. Fun. Applied: University of Oregon- phone interview 1/17 UGA Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) - phone interview 1/26 ASU UNM VCU Tulane LSU Duke
