    Just got a "congratulations" email from one of my recommenders regarding an acceptance. Thing is I haven't told her yet and it looked like she had copied it from an email. Wasn't aware that grad schools released that sort of info...

      She isn't :/. She works in academia (dean at another university) but it's in an entirely different state...

      you never know how people are connected... it's my guess that they know each other. Or could someone you told have mentioned it?

      That is a possibility, but from the looks of it she was sent an email with my admission decision. I'm going to ask another recommender who I know on a more personal level if she received the same info as well...
