Just got a letter this am detailing my financial aid package, but still haven't heard from admissions... Spoke with the Financial Aid office and they said I am in fact in, so that's pretty great. I was looking at GA/TA positions - and none of them offer tuition waivers, which was surprising. Current Heinz student @scholl43: how do people pay for Heinz? Does anyone get a full tuition plus stipend deal or is everyone on loans?

Anyone else get the email asking for a photo and your skype handle? What an odd, odd process.

Just spoke with Dir of Admissions who is very nice and happy to answer any questions. He said that the Coverdell Fellowships have already been awarded - so if it wasn't in your letter, you didn't get it. He also said they were not giving out any graduate assistantships with offers of admission this year. if you enroll, however, you may see assistantships that are available in other departments and apply for them. However, he emphasized that the availability of these assistants and TA positions varies by quarter, and that they are competitive. Good luck to all who haven't heard yet or who are figuring out their school choices.

Anyone else applied for one of the State Dept/USAID fellowships? I've applied for all 3 - am I correct that we should be hearing about potential interviews for finalist candidates around the end of the month? Also - does the Pickering do interviews or is it all based on your application?

Anyone else waiting to hear from the Wilson School? Can we all survive until March 15thish without ulcers?

I just got in as well, YAY! I'm really wait wait waiting on financial aid - with a new baby on the way it's going to make a huge difference. I'm in to the joint MPA/MAIR. Really glad to hear nice things about Syracuse, @TimB. In the middle of a Chicago winter, moving to MORE snow was not sounding good, even though I'm really excited about hte program. How are you all managing the waiting? Trying not to get an ulcer at present.
