  1. No idea. I know they've offered acceptances to at least two people and they only accepted nine people to the PhD program last year. :\ I haven't heard anything from them yet either.
  2. I came SO close to doing this! I save all my documents in Dropbox and when I went back to check, I couldn't find the SOP with the correct school name. Nearly had a panic attack because I had already submitted the application. Checked the application online and nearly collapsed in relief to discover that I had indeed changed it. Thank goodness... I hope that doesn't affect your chances too much! Maybe you could get the SOP back and re-submit it?
  3. Yes, I see that some people are indicating in the 'Decision & Date' field that they received the decision earlier in the week, but some are listing it as today or yesterday. I'm not sure whether the website automatically fills in the date for you, as I have not had any results to post yet. I haven't heard anything from any of my schools and it's completely nerve-wracking!
  4. I've been following the results page over the last week and keep seeing people posting responses that were received by email or phone call on the weekend (seemingly both Saturday and Sunday). Is this actually the case? Or are people posting the responses they received earlier in the week? I guess the long and short of this question is this, is it possible to hear back from a school on a Saturday or Sunday by phone or email? It hadn't occurred to me that they might work weekends.
  5. Sorry, no. I haven't had any such trouble. One of my LORs was late and I re-took the General GRE in January, so I resubmitted that score later too. But the APRA shows everything as received and under review. You should definitely check in with them to see what happened. Maybe they just haven't gotten around to updating the APRA.
  6. I got that generic email too. If I recall correctly, it said 4-6 weeks.
  7. Thanks for the info. I am aspiring medievalist, so hopefully I'd enjoy the school too. (If I get in ... and funded.)
  8. I haven't seen a thread for Catholic here. Anyone else apply there? I have no sense of how many applicants they accept (or how many accepted students they fund). I actually applied to the Medieval Studies program rather than English Lit, but would focus in lit.
  9. Bumping this discussion to 2014 for admissions! Anyone heard anything yet? I know it's still early...
  10. Anyone else hear from Maryland today? I'm curious about how many spots they have available in the program this year.
