I just got rejected (archaeo phd). It was my first choice. Luckily I got accepted to a higher ranked school so I have a consolation prize, but I'm still super bummed. Good luck to all waiting... Hope you fare better than me!

I'm sorry colorless I would at least get in contact with them and ask how you could work out getting your MA there and possible funding. I know you have one already in a different area but maybe dedicating a couple years to getting a relevant Cornell MA will be beneficial in the long run?

You can. I live here in Boston and did my undergrad here. Rent is expensive but there is affordable housing in nice neighborhoods if you're willing to look farther than the typical "student" neighborhoods. You don't need a car here, which is nice (I have one, but parking is not fun here ). There is lots of stuff to do for free in the city so you can enjoy yourself without going broke. Y

Hi guys! So I got 2 responses: Accepted to UAlbany's PhD program Accepted to Brandeis' MA program (where I can apply to matriculate to PhD after MA) I'm waiting on BU, Cornell, and UCR. (LET ME KNOW IF YOU GUYS HEAR ANYTHING!!) Also, for the people with Northwestern questions, my friend got invited to be flown up for an interview, but that's all it know. Back to the waiting game.....!!!

We are talking about the Archaeology dept specifically, correct? I've heard end of February to end of March, with 5 probable admits...so who knows!! What geographic areas are you guys working in? The wait is killing my soul slowly.
