  1. Neurona, please do it! Though I haven't recieved news yet, I'm still thinking of sending them something. These people possibly helped to change your life and I think they should be recognized
  2. Congratulations!!! I really hope you blog about your research in India. I would love to read what you discover. Such an interesting topic! Please share! And congrats to the others who got accepted today! Condolences to those who didn't :-(
  3. Oh my goodness, This is starting to feel like one of those AA meetings but instead it's FAA ( Fulbright Applicants Anonymous) lol Sorry to sound like a Debbie Downer in my previous comments. But thanks for your words of encouragement guys! :-) I'm sure a lot of us on here needed to read this. Horb, I did the exact same thing as your friend but with the Gilman Scholarship for Korea. I had absolutely no other way to get there besides that option. And magically, though I thought I had no chance of getting it, I was awarded one lol I guess the risky side of me decided to take another gamble with Fulbright. This is a really tough, daunting process and I really admire your ambition and optimism for applying again next year. I sincerely hope you receive one the next time around :-) Kbui, good to know I'm not alone. But you got a Boren! That's AMAZING in itself! I should have applied for that haha Thanks for the positive thoughts! I hope we both get good news!!! I swear if I get it I would totally inhale a celebration cake hahaha P.S., I don't think I've ever prayed this much in my life haha
  4. You are not alone in that feeling. My friends are all getting jobs at Google (and other fortune 500 companies), becoming doctors, therapists, creating amazing business and GETTING ACCEPTED TO KOREAN GRAD SCHOOLS and I'm just sitting here like...."hmmmmmm let me check my Gmail again for my (current) one shot at doing something AWESOME" LOL! It's so sad that it's funny XD I mean, my life and job doesn't completely suck. I'm sure a lot of people in the world would love to be in my shoes right now. but I feel like I was meant to do something waaaaaaaaaaaay bigger in life ya know? I really can't wait to find out about Fulbright so I can at least try and put some other plans into action to carry out my project.
  5. Arigold36, i love your enthusiasm for Korea!!!! Lol here's to hoping that we hear something next week! :-) Until then, i will be breaking down the statistics for the thousandth time haha
  6. FingersCrossed_118 At least you have more than one option. I envy you actually haha I really suggest that you go for what you Have and not what you possibly will get. Fulbright might not happen until May... i would hate to see anyone miss out on an opportunity when the other isn't guaranteed :-/
  7. Ohmy God! what is going on???? I just went on Twitter and saw that a professor was granted a Fulbright scholarship on April 2nd to South Korea. was this for a different grant or what I am so confused right now.....
  8. Sometimes i wonder what this forum would be like if it turned into a reality tv show lol On another note, I think I've reached a point where I have no energy left to be anxious for Fulbright. Whatever happens, happens. we have no choice but to accept the outcome anyway.
  9. It will come when you least suspect it....like on a Sunday at 10:57pm hahaha
  10. Thanks japaniia :-) Ok Korea applicants! It's Tuesday again and April! How are we feeling about today??? Lol
  11. Hey all, I was talking to someone the other day who was worried about their GPA in terms of getting a Fulbright. What do you guys think? i personally think it doesn't, especially if you already got recommended. Does anyone have any thoughts to share on the matter? Btw, congratulations to all those who got awarded and condolences to others who didn't =(
  12. USA J, I always wait until around 4 o'clock eastern time since we got our first round notifications around that time.
  13. Twice in the past has Korea sent out applications on this day (March 31st) and once on April 1st. Could today be the day? Hmmmm......only time will tell.
  14. Results come from the IIE right? Not the US Student Programs?
  15. Woooot~~~! Nice to know there's another one of us :-) Go Team Gilman! haha I hope SmarteyMartey and I can join you and the others on Team Fulbright japaniia! haha
