Finally got GA Tech's notification. That took awhile! I got accepted. : ) Now everyone can begin to breathe easier hopefully who was waiting for them.

Anyone have any idea if Yale sent out a bulk of their offers? I know there were some on the results search, but I'm not sure if that is all.

Sounds like mine as well. They tried real hard to not sound like jerks. I appreciated it. Hah.

I think it depends on your relationship with you recommender. Sometimes just an email would do. However, I know I have been quite a pain in the whole process (adding and removing schools from my list). I've tried to come up with some gifts for my recommenders that are thought out. For example, I know one is obsessed with superhero movies, so I got that one a super hero book (lame, I know) and a thank-you card. I know a lot of students who get them chocolate or whatever too, and that is nice, I just figured to be a bit different. Still not breaking anyone's budget, and little bit more from the heart. There is plenty of cute chemistry trinkets on the shopping websites these days as well.

Taking a quick look at the results, it looks like someone got a phone call from them today, but I still think we have another week and a half or so before any real anxiousness should happen. Last year I saw popular acceptance/rejection days for Princeton were 1/9 and 1/13. Still got some time!

Who else these few weeks before mid-/late January are excruciating? I still find myself checking on here a lot though.

I also got accepted to UPenn today. I was totally shocked- but very excited! Congratulations! Don't know much about that U of Virginia phone call business, but it sounds good. Probably just a lot of them talking and you being really excited, which is pretty much how it goes for a lot of these things. : )

Just got the unofficial acceptance to Vanderbilt. So exciting! This process is already a roller coaster, and its not even close to being over yet! I haven't posted yet, but my general stats are provided in my signature.
