Regarding NYU, for what it's worth, I don't know that anyone has heard official word from the History/Middle East Studies Joint Phd either (although unofficially, yes). Seems like the joint programs are taking their time.

Can anyone who has heard from NYU's MCCD state whether they received formal acceptance/rejection letters? Is there any indication if everything already went out? I still haven't heard a thing and am thus somewhat dumbfounded.

I agree with catsandscarves. Penn were very specific, to the point of being intimidating, regarding us not contacting them with ANY issues pertaining to admissions.

Still awaiting answers from a couple more programs (quite possibly rejections), before making the call. What's your field?

orangepeel, Roy_Baty, I've received an unofficial email from Brandeis detailing the offer they'll be making me. That was roughly a week ago and they stated that they'd be sending out official offers "within a week or so," so I guess it would mean early-mid next week, unless it happens during the weekend. I'm doing modern Middle East history if that helps.

Congratulations Idoone! MEIS, for all I've heard, is an outstanding program! Was the email notifying you of acceptance an official one including an offer? An email from your POI or DGS? I've heard nothing, and like Conmel, I'm waiting on a response regarding the Joint MEIS/History Ph.D.. Perhaps now that you've crossed the Rubicon, Idoone, you can be the one to ask whether all accepted students (including those applying for the joint Ph.D.) have already been notified? Just tell them you want to know for the sake of your friends up on the Grad Cafe. Again, congrats!

Hi all, First time poster. I'm wondering whether anyone has heard from CUNY at all? I had a positive phone call with them the other week which I thought indicated I was in (an offer was forthcoming in the next week or two according to the call), but I'm beginning to get slightly worried. Also, is anyone here applying to Near Eastern Studies at Princeton by any chance? Good luck to everyone!
