Have so much fun starandsound. I went to Smith for under grad and loved working with Andrea and Len very much. Ps I Really miss boating on the pond. Also just wanted to thank folks for their responses to my last post. I needed some honest feedback about funding and not being the idiot that walks away from a good deal. NYU will likely be my home for the next two years. Headed up there next week to visit but if anyone knows anything about their program I would love info. Only apprehensive since it is the program I knew the last about while applying. Still no info from northwestern but I have serious doubts about funding from them.

Hey All, I've been lurking in this forum for weeks now, and just wanted to send a general thanks to all for their companionship throughout this crazy process. My apps have mostly been replied to and it turned out okay. Brown -rejected Yale- rejected Columbia- accepted NYU - accepted Northwestern- no idea Columbia is my top choice for sure because Chuck Mee is absolutely fantastic. I've seen him speak a few times and would love to work with him. That being said, their financial aid package isn't looking too hot. NYU on the other hand is offering mad funding, and the idea of little debt seems hard to walk away from. Northwestern has always been my outlier, so I'm still not sure what to think on that front. I would just like to hear something sooner rather than later and have this all be done with. I figured it was high time I stopped lurking and shared as well. Congrats to all who've been accepted places, and to those who are getting ready for a new app season, HANG IN THERE! I was you just a year ago. If anyone has any insider info on these programs, I would be uber grateful. I think I never even entertained the idea of choice, so having to make one all of sudden has been difficult.

Another hopeful! This thread makes me feel a lot less insane so thanks to all. Waiting is the worst. My list: Columbia Yale Brown NYU Yale Considered many others but long lists tend to overwhelm me. I'm just hoping for the best, and if nothing pans out, I can shake my list up for application round 2. Wishing I had left UCSD on my list.
