I did hear that U of O is big on work experience in social work if that helps with anything I applied for the 1 yr program as I already have a BSW I appled there last minute as I was rejected from Dalhousie so we will see i guess. Im finding it so hard to find a decent job with just a BSW.. everywhere is asking for MSW now unless its in child welfare and well I already did 8 years on that path...... time for a change. So hopefully I will be attending in the Fall

I've applied to the U of O MSW program. I heard that they will let ppl know in May bc of the extension I sent all my stuff last minute after I heard it was extended to April. Have you anything ?

Awesome ! thanks I think I will do the same I dont want to translate my CV but no problem with letter of intent.. it also seems to be alot less complicated then the one I had to write from Dal so maybe ill get in there.. I still have not from heard from Dal but im thinking its a no . I saw on the Uof O website that they are still taking applicants do I got excited lol I should have just applied there in the first place. Are you in the Ottawa area? Im in Cornwall so about an hours drive to Ottawa U. My step daughter is in the psyc program there and she likes it. im bilingual not lazy so that good for me haha. plus I think it would be awesome to have a degree in both languages (BSW in Engl.) I just saw Ottawa U accepts applications for the MSW program until April 1st. DId u send your CV and letter of intent in French or English? I heard that if u take the French classes u are able to write your papers in English because it is bilingual school.. ?

RE: Dalhousie I just get an email from sswadmissions@Dal.ca they said that they re-sent my letter to address that I have given them by email .. should get something soon doesn't sound good u wouldn't think they would not send a letter to someone who got accepted OH Well maybe send them an email with your current address to the email address above.. maybe it got lost in the mail GOOD LUCK

hey .. I've also emailed them twice and nothing in return as of yet. Good to know I'm not the only one though.. I thought they might have lost my application Could you imagine OMG! still optimistic ... I have nearly 10 years in the field of social services incl. 8 at CAS I want to go into private practice So I have a plan B if I don't get in ... theirs always more than one way to get to the end of the rainbow.. it may take longer but ill get there lol Good luck to everyone and congrats to those who Know

if you mean by Ottawa u mean Carleton yes they recieved acceptance and rejection lettrers a few weeks ago. I see that you applied to Dal distance have u heard from them ?

For the People waiting on Dal MSW program I got an email today from admissions asking me to confirm my current address. Not really sure what that means but hopefully I will know something soon. If anyone else heard anything please keep me posted Cheers

Ok and same here I will post if I get any news I read at an earlier post that some rejection and acceptance letters were recieved a few weeks ago. so im trying to stay hopeful
