I'm finishing my undergrad at Baylor, and going on in the fall to get my MBA in Healthcare Administration. There is nothing really to be afraid of, just be smart and use your common sense when going out. Any apartment complexes close to campus are safe (I live within a 5 minute walk of the business school). No place around campus will be silent, but I've gotten used to it over the years. It's not bad at all! Good cafés would include Dichotomy, Common Grounds, and I recommend Food for Thought for some locally owned restaurant food.
