  1. I am interested in Health Systems Engineering or Health Engineering. I recently graduated with a Masters of Public Health (MPH) since I am taking a break I want to do more research on schools that offer these programs. I don't know where to start and I've was told by my friend who is a Mechanical Engineer that my choice does not pair well with the degree, I currently have. However, I disagree with him. When I looked up the definition I felt it would pair well with my degree. I just want some insight from people who are familiar with this field or are in this field. If they can guide me to which schools offer this program? Do you think the job outlook is promising? Any insight would be great.
  2. In total I applied to 6 schools. I submitted my application yesterday and I take the GREs on Saturday then I am forever done with this process.. I know it will be awhile before I hear from the other schools Northwest Ohio Consortium of Public Health University of South Florida University of Florida University of Minnesota Boston University University of Albany
  3. Ask yourself the obvious questions: Do you prefer suburbia or city? Do you mind driving into Boston? Which Financial aid package is better? Which university has the better curriculum that will fit my needs? Because only you can answer these questions yourself, our opinions may just shape on what you decide. Good luck, in whatever you choose you will definitely be successful.
  4. I got into my first school. Northwest Ohio Consortium for Public Health (University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University)
  5. Although I have already started with my application via SOPHAS and haven't really finished it, because of this semester being a pain in my ass. Anyway I noticed a lot of Environmental Health MPH programs still open, why is that? I am interested in what you're planning to study and where you plan to go. What a few goals do you plan to accomplish career or personal goals.
  6. Yeah I can. It's cheaper to live in Hoboken if your going to live in NY , to save yourself money. Living in Manhattan is just ridiculous and the commute isn't bad either from Hoboken to Manhattan. $70 the first school starts at $120. idk I have to check out there website to see if it fits what I want to do.
  7. Yay!! you will be in NY.. I am also thinking of applying to Icahn, not sure yet. I don't want to live at home
  8. I know.. that's why i said it's based off of 9. 9 credits considers you as a full-time student Either way good luck
  9. Boston is just as cold Which program interest you the most? Which is cost effective or that doesn't matter? Are you a city person, suburbia or rural or a combination? You have to ask yourself those questions, Which one will benefit your career or long term goals?
  10. Tuition is based on (18 credits) Per credit is 1790 per credit (i did it based off 9) Tuition including fees (no misc incorporated) If you take (9cr) plus health insurance in the Fall 14 its $17042 including room and board is $26,788 i think that is a reasonable price, if you subtract the $2,306 dollars they have for health insurance your at $24,482 for 2 yrs that isn't bad. If you don't live on campus your saving $4,650 bucks plus tuition and fees including meal is $19,712 I'm sure you aren't taking 9 credits a semester. I guess you have to decide if your going to take 18 vs 9, If anything 12 credits a semester seems reasonable most likely it depends on how long you want to spend there. They have an option for off campus housing through the school check it out. Did you get any assistantship?
  11. Awh thank well that won't happen until after I take the GREs. I am nervous about the because I have studied but not how I wanted to because I am taking 20 credits this semester and barely had time to study, all I've done is review the math aspect because that is where I am weak. And practice some problems here and there.
  12. Well that's good because the avg score is 300 to get into a decent school, that's what the kaplan lady said to me. The highest you can get is 340..so you did good well at least to me.
  13. Congrats, and thanks for the encouragement. What do you plan to study?
  14. I'm going for Epidemiology. You? I want to study a combination of Global Environmental and Occupational Health and Global Epidemiology
