  1. Whoever thought translating Old English would be easy definitely didn't spend seven hours translating five pages. To my defense, I'm fairly confident the text is a ten-point font.

      I think 7 hours is actually pretty good for prose! Don't sell yourself short. :)

      I had to read an untranslated edition of The Canterbury Tales in a British lit. class I took as a sophomore, and translating Middle English was enough of a headache for me. I recall spending hours and hours just working through a handful of pages. So, PROPS.

      Thanks, you guys! It was definitely discouraging, but once I attended class Monday night, I realized nearly everyone had a few struggles, except the grad students who had already taken the course and were taking it again for an extra three credits.
