I heard from Oxford about two weeks ago, I'm not sure if it was merely an early announcement or if all have been sent out.

I appreciate the advice. I'd only be able to go to Oxford if I am awarded the Ertegun Scholarship, which I know is a very long shot!

I'm trying to decide between HDS (MTS) and Oxford (MPhil). Funding will be the deciding factor; did anyone else apply for the Ertegun Scholarship at Oxford?

In at HDS. Yelled loudly in the gym. A dozen people came running, thinking I'd dropped the weight on my windpipe.

Eh. Miracles happen. If decisions have already been made, perhaps a call to their admissions office tomorrow would expedite the grieving/ecstatic celebrations.

I found this bit underneath their Q & A section a few weeks ago: Q. How many students apply to the M.T.S. Program? What is the size of each M.T.S. class? A. Almost 200 students apply each year to the M.T.S. Program. We are able to offer admission to 25-30 students and place 5 students on a waitlist, in order to arrive at a class of approximately 20 students. Perhaps the Department of Theology just wants to test the state of each applicant's cardiovascular health before extending an offer; I'm sure more than a few people are having heart palpations over this one.

I'm curious as to the Notre Dame situation; their website says that they offer 25-30 students, yet I've only seen the one post regarding MTS acceptance. Maybe it's staggered by program of study?

Is it particularly difficult to get a TA job as a MA or MTS student? Is it a "by invitation only" job or do schools usually allow students to apply internally? As a student preparing for the crushing poverty of graduate life, I'd love to find a bit of work within a school.

Has anyone else heard back from Notre Dame?

That email was a world-class example of trolling... That bit about "Waiting to Hear" was like giving a starving man a picture filled menu. Oh well, only a week or so until the announcements.

Perhaps this has come up already in this thread (I only read the last few pages, sorry!), but has anyone heard from Brown regarding PhD admittance?

I'm new to thread as well, I see I'm not the only one waiting on HDS for an MTS announcement. I had the nerve to apply for a PhD at Harvard and had my application re-directed to HDS a few weeks ago; did anyone else have this happen?
