  1. I was rejected there as well. Yes CCA seems like a great school. How many schools did you apply to this year? Did you get in anywhere you hoped? I didn't get in anywhere the first year I applied and only applied to 3 schools. This year I applied to 11 and got into 6. I'm so glad I decided to keep trying. Did alot of things differntly this time. And applying to more was the best thing I did. Everywhere is just so hard to get into. Even the not so great programs have a 2% acceptance rate because the programs are so small! Good luck with everything.
  2. I'm leaning towards either SAIC, CCA, or SFAI. SFAI offered me funding which would be really hard to turn down, but SAIC is ranked so high and has such amazing facilities. I haven't heard about funding yet from SAIC and CCA, so I'll make my decision after that probably. I've applied before and didn't get in anywhere. Before I probably would have taken any school that offered funding, but I really do think the faculty and network you build at a top ranked school is worth something.
  3. Someone else on the thread said they already had interviews. Most of the UC's seem to have already done interviews if not offers. Have you heard otherwise? San Jose State: Accepted 2/22 via phone OTIS: Accepted 2/25 via postal service + 10,000 scholarship SFAI: notified by email 1/29 for 2/22 interview, accepted 3/6/14 via email, 3/12/14 notified of fellowship recipient CCA: notified by email 2/5 for 2/33 interview, accepted 3/4/14 had to log on to online portal with instructions above SAIC: notified 2/4 by email for 3/1 interview, accepted via snail mail 3/11/14 Yale: Rejected 1/31 via email and online application site Hunter: rejected 3/3 via email UCLA: Rejected via email/website 3/11/14 USC: Assumed rejected UC Berkeley: Assumed rejected Claremont: ??
  4. I also did write thank you emails after my interviews. I think it really shows a level of professionalism and follow-up. And some times you can gage how your interviews went by their responses.
  5. Has anyone that got into SAIC Painting heard about funding yet? If so did it come via snail mail, phone, email? Thanks! San Jose State: Accepted 2/22 via phone OTIS: Accepted 2/25 via postal service + 10,000 scholarship SFAI: notified by email 1/29 for 2/22 interview, accepted 3/6/14 via email CCA: notified by email 2/5 for 2/33 interview, accepted 3/4/14 had to log on to online portal with instructions above SAIC: notified 2/4 by email for 3/1 interview, accepted via snail mail 3/11/14 Yale: Rejected 1/31 via email and online application site Hunter: rejected 3/3 via email UCLA: Assumed rejected USC: Assumed ryejected UC Berkeley: Assumed rejected Claremont: ??
  6. Thanks for posting Yellow Magnet!! That login procedure worked perfect for me too! Mine also says "congratulations- Admitted" no financial aid informatino either. I can't believe it. I applied in past years and didn't get in anywhere so I am feeling very relieved today finally. Yellow Magnet, did you get any emails regarding an "award letter" from SAIC being mailed to you ( I haven't recieved anything re: acceptance and I tried calling today and all they could say were that decision and award letters are in transit). San Jose State: Accepted 2/22 via phone OTIS: Accepted 2/25 via postal service + 10,000 scholarship SFAI: notified by email 1/29 for 2/22 interview, accepted 3/6/14 via email CCA: notified by email 2/5 for 2/33 interview, accepted 3/4/14 had to log on to online portal with instructions above SAIC: notified 2/4 by email for 3/1 interview Yale: Rejected 1/31 via email and online application site Hunter: rejected 3/3 via email UCLA: Assumed rejected USC: Assumed ryejected UC Berkeley: Claremont:
  7. Yes that is just for the painting dept. I think we all interviewed the same weekend , so I'm guessing sculpture would probably be finding out this week or next week as well, but I can't say for sure. Good Luck!!
  8. What does your email say from CA student aid commission. It seems some schools are sending out generic Financial Aid emails. CCA said they would get back to us by end of day today for acceptances. Sounds like the consensus for Berkeley is they have already made their offers...
  9. Thanks ismewilde! I figured UC Berkeley was most likely out since most of the UC's made offers in February. San Jose State: Accepted 2/22 via phone OTIS: Accepted 2/25 via postal service + 10,000 scholarship SFAI: notified by email 1/29 for 2/22 interview, accepted 3/6/14 via email CCA: notified by email 2/5 for 2/33 interview SAIC: notified 2/4 by email for 3/1 interview Yale: Rejected 1/31 via email and online application site Hunter: rejected 3/3 via email UCLA: Assumed rejected USC: Assumed rejected UC Berkeley: Assumed rejected Claremont:
  10. Has anyone heard from CCA, SAIC, or UC Berkeley yet? CCA said they would email us by weekend and I haven't heard anything. And then I got a weird financial aid email last night from SAIC saying they will be mailing my financial aid award letter. However, it said nothing about actually being accepted. Did anyone receive anything similar? Thanks and good luck to everyone. It is absolute torture waiting. I can't stop checking my email. San Jose State: Accepted 2/22 via phone OTIS: Accepted 2/25 via postal service + 10,000 scholarship SFAI: notified by email 1/29 for 2/22 interview, accepted 3/6/14 via email CCA: notified by email 2/5 for 2/33 interview SAIC: notified 2/4 by email for 3/1 interview Yale: Rejected 1/31 via email and online application site Hunter: rejected 3/3 via email UCLA: Assumed rejected USC: Assumed rejected UC Berkeley: Claremont:
