  1. I will PM you my stats
  2. I just got my official acceptance to UofA!!!!! I am SO happy This is my second year applying and it is such a relief to finally receive some good news!! It will make the wait until April 1st a lot less stressful! I wish everyone the best of luck
  3. Guys I'm freaking out!!! I received this email today from Vicki Trombley at UofA : "I left for a couple of days vacation and I'm just back and found your email. You will be hearing from me shortly positive news. We had over 200 applications to the program and yes, Dr. Volden received all the information that was necessary to approve your courses. I'll be in touch in the next couple of days if not sooner. Thank you for your email. Vicki *E. I got so excited when I read the email
  4. This is my first year applying to ontario schools but I do remember reading last year that western sent out student ID numbers around the middle/end of march. It can be used to view your application status on the western website!
  5. Western has April 1st listed as the day offers of admission are sent out and I am assuming UofT will do the same. I know Dal and UofA started sending out acceptances around March 12th last year so hopefully they will have a similar timeline this year!! I'm getting so anxious to hear back... the wait is really stressing me out
  6. I'm pretty sure they didn't receive my GRE scores last year until early February because I wrote it really late. I ended up getting waitlisted last year but I honestly don't think it effected my chances at all! My sGPA was lower last year and I knew my chances of getting in were pretty slim so I was happy with being waitlisted... I wouldn't worry about it you could always send them an email about it though if you are concerned!
  7. I'm also wondering about the ORPAS calculations! Not sure about UBC but I know UofT and all the other schools I applied to don't do interviews... are you talking about interviews for SLP or for another program? Also last year UofA and Dal started sending out acceptances mid-march and the Ontario schools send out decisions on April 1st
  8. I'm not sure about UofT but I contacted Dal about this a few years ago and they told me it is much more advantageous to have a higher GPA than an honours degree. I know most school like to see that you have research experience though, but I think any research experience is good... it doesn't necessarily have to be an honours project.
  9. Some of my documents were taken from last year's application, some were sent in early December and I dropped my resume and additional information form off in person on January 15th!
  10. I received an email on Wednesday from Dal letting me know they had received all my documents and they also updated my online application that day.
  11. Can anyone tell me how many people are admitted each year into the program at Western? I know its a smaller class size but I can't seem to find it listed anywhere on their website.
  12. Just an update - my application status changed to "submitted" today!
  13. It's the online application system for the University of Alberta!
  14. How are you accessing beartracks? On applygrad the status of my application also says "request pending"... today though my application was updated and it says they have received all my reference letters. I am reapplying though so I only had one new letter that was mailed in, the rest were taken from my previous application.
  15. I freaked out when I saw it Thursday night too!! I know how you feel
  16. I am experiencing the same issue.... I was able to see the status of my documents on Thursday and saw that one letter is currently outstanding. I know he mailed it in earlier than my other two references so I assumed the letter either got misplaced or lost in the mail. He resent it on Friday but clearly I knew it was going to be late. I emailed ORPAS and this is what they said : "Thank you for your email. As you can well imagine, there is a large volume of mail received and processed by ORPAS, particularly during deadline time. All documents are date stamped as of the date they are received, and are uploaded into the system as quickly as possible. Please note that you will need to keep checking the website, as we update the information as soon as it becomes available. We suggest that you keep all communications (such as emails) with regards to your transcript requests and your referees showing that you requested these documents well before the deadline. This information would cover all your bases should the documents be late in arriving. " So I would suggest contacting them about it but I hope this helps!
  17. Nevermind! I realized there is an option for both
  18. Hi everyone, I know this question has probably already been addressed somewhere in this forum BUT is the volunteer experience section on the ORPAS application only applicable to volunteer experience acquired directly with an SLP? If so, should I just talk about other relevant volunteer experience in the statement of intent?
  19. I had the same problem yesterday... the application said to come back on the 3rd but it was the third. I might email them today and see what's going on.
  20. I'm almost positive you have to mail all the supplementary forms directly to the SHCD. That's what I did last year... You can only submit the basic application online. Once they receive your documents they will update your online application to show that they have it!
  21. Wow that's really late.... I wonder what's going on with their application? I don't see how pushing the date back could be beneficial to them unless they are having problems with the application or they are making changes to it?
  22. I just noticed the U of A online application is no longer available until November 21st. I had originally thought it opened on the 1st and then noticed it said the 15th and now the 21st.... I wonder why they are pushing it back?
  23. I waited until the end of December to upload my transcripts but I'm sure you can do either... they will just need another copy of your most recent marks at some point later on. It wouldn't hurt to contact them though to see what they recommend.
  24. Last year I just uploaded my unofficial transcripts online. I think you have to upload it!
  25. I know that Dal accepts additional reference letters. On the application you have the option to include up to 4 referees.
