Just heard back via snail mail--I'm in! But no financial support the decision letter came in a red UMD folder with details about their admitted students day.
sjw528 I'm still waiting to get my folder in the mail, but am trying to lock down my school visit schedule now.. could you share with us the date that was in your folder for admitted students day? Also what is the deadline to notify them of enrollment by (April 15 or something else)?
Thanks so much!

Were you offered scholarship to any of these programs? Where do you want to be after graduation? If the answer is working for the government in some capacity, you may want to strongly consider one of the DC programs as you will likely end up doing an internship in the area, which could morph into a job offer and/or connections to get one. UCLA is a great school though (though admittedly aside from knowing it's a top program I don't know much about it).

When did you get your NYU admission? I notice a few people have posted Wagner decisions, but I haven't received anything yet (I applied to the MPA). Congrats on the acceptance and scholarship!
I got an email from them on the 5th. It's a pretty big program, so I imagine they are rolling out everyone's letters soon. Good luck!

NYU funding decisions are rolling out - just got $9k/year. Not bad but don't know if I can justify the super high cost of living and NYU tuition at that rate knowing I could pay less elsewhere. Decisions decisions decisions...

So far:
Harris $10k.
Syracuse MPA (funding not yet disclosed)
UCLA $22k (in-state full ride)
Goldman - rejected.
Heinz DC Track - $28k
Barring very generous aid offers from Michigan or Duke, or acceptance to Harvard/Princeton, it looks like I'm headed to CMU and then off to DC.
U Chicago is very prestigious, and recently added on David Axelrod to faculty (adding to Paulson, Richard Daley, 2 Nobel Laureates, and more), but I've been told the program is more "orthodox" than ideal. CMU strikes me as its opposite -- less prestigious, but eminently practical.
I'm struggling to put a value on 9 months of work and living experience in Washington, DC, but it seems substantial (not to mention the average $20k salary students earn at their internships the 2nd year). Either way, I don't think I can justify spending an additional $17k annual to go to Chicago rather than CMU. However, I do think CMU is worth an additional annual $12k over attending UCLA.
Does anyone take issue with my math, or see other factors at hand? It seems like there are quite a few people making this decision.
I am heavily weighing the CMU DC track too thanks to the funding. Re: the 2nd year apprenticeship, I know what their site says about average income of their students, but I'm hoping to speak to a few current/past students to make sure that is a reality. Have you had a chance to speak with any students yet?

Their site says they will notify by March 15th, not on March 15th. All of the other schools have said the same thing and tend to be notifying earlier. Just wondered if anyone else had heard anything is all...

Hi all,
Just called the Maryland admissions office. They said that everyone will be getting a packet in the mail, they started sending them about a week ago but aren't quite done yet. Will include all the info we want/need (finances, deadlines, etc). Ugh I want mine now!
-
They are my last school to hear from - has anyone heard a peep from UPenn Fels yet?
-
Ahhh I am so nervous now no word from them yet
-
Seems that the NYU Wagner decisions are coming out - got in earlier today! Anyone else hear back from them? I have heard they are quite stingy with funding though so anxious to hear about that in the next few days...
-
Letter came in the mail today, but was identical to online pdf.. so no additional info. Does anyone know how we find out about funding?
-
I've done lots of scholarship searching, including looking through the schools I'm applying to and what they link to. Have found very few I qualify for. But I def recommend checking out each school you applied to at least on their fin aid pages for scholarship info, some may work for you
Wouldn't it be nice if there were more scholarships for us considering we also will make less than everyone later on? Le sigh..

Did anyone else on this thread get admitted yet to CMU? A few on the Official Admitted Thread have
-
I got in as well! And ditto on not mentioning funding.. has anyone contacted to find out when we will hear about that?
-
Mine still says I have to wait up to 72 hours (but that status was posted on 2/25, so likely that period has passed..) hoping to get something in the mail soon I guess. Seems they really want us to read the hard copies first.
-
To the Heinz admits - first of all, congratulations on getting in, w/funding! Which track did you guys apply for? I submitted my application for the 3-semester MSPPM track in early December, still waiting anxiously to hear back ...
I applied for the DC track

Just got into American! Wish the rest of the schools notified so early ugh I hate the waiting game.

According to UMD's website "decisions will be mailed on or about February 7" . So has anyone heard from them ? Do you guys think we will hear from them this week?
I don't see on their site where it says February 7th - do you have a link? Thanks!
-
I have not heard back yet so now I am nervous! I applied the day before the deadline; December 30th.

Monterey Institute for International Studies, NYU, Florida int'l University
When did you hear back from NYU? And when did you send in your application? I thought we didn't hear back from them until March?
Thanks!
