  1. Also, I greatly enjoyed FSUs online prereq program. It is very doable, but once again- do consider the cost and that not every school may take prerequisites the same. That is something to consider though no matter what prerequisite program you choose.
  2. Hey guys, FSU does have an online pre-reqs program. It is quite expensive because it is at graduate level - so graduate cost. It is 2 online classes a semester for 3 semesters.. You can take them any order, and apply any semester. Some schools will prefer you to have a different variation or maybe even more prerequisites. So keep that in mind. It isn't necessarily all inclusive, but they will tell you it is. I just finished it, and I applied to only Florida Schools. I ended up getting accepted to UCF, FAU, and UF. I am still on the waitlist for USF. I will be attending UF. UCF wanted me to take 2 extra prerequisites prior to beginning graduate classes as part of my acceptance. UF, luckily, is not requiring me to take any additional prerequisites. However, all the schools look at each applicant differently based on what additional prereqs they might suggest. Also, I greatly enjoyed FSUs online prereq program. It is very doable, but once again- do consider the cost and that not every school may take prerequisites the same. That is something to consider though no matter what prerequisite program you choose. FSU does also have an online Masters program, but this year they weren't taking students. I believe they are though in Fall 2016. Good luck!!!
  3. Any graduate students looking for roommates for Fall 2015 or even sooner?
  4. well it could be good too.. maybe they haven't sent out the acceptances they planned to... or are debating on who to send the last couple spots too.. I wouldn't stress about it either way.. all you can do it wait and hope.
  5. I did receive an email from them yesterday. It basically just said they are full... but I am still on waitlist.. and they will contact me again for further status updates. People keep talking about this "high waitlist" thing.. but I can't figure out if that is a good thing or a bad thing.. originally it sounded like a bad thing, but people are mentioning it like it is a good thing. At this point I got in to other schools that I am happy with, so I'm not expecting this to turn out in my favor.. you never know though I guess.

  10. I am also from Florida, so I'm not much help, but I wish I would have applied to more schools out of state. If I were you I would go. What an amazing area to spend 2 years. Especially if you actually want to go, I wouldn't let fear stop you. If you only kind of what to go.. then I would argue that staying in state is cheaper. Good luck!
  11. Hey, Has anyone got in for Fall or Summer? If so, is their a facebook group yet?
  12. Congrats!!!! I am attending in the Fall. Technically I got in for Summer, but I have to take a couple prereqs in summer and will be starting full graduate work in Fall. We should chat.. also would love to meet people for potential roommates. =)
  13. Hey.. I'm starting at UCF in Fall too... (well actually summer for a couple last minute prereqs.. but officially for grad program in fall).. Message me if you want to share info.. get to know each other... maybe roommates... or about info exc... =)
  14. skip the blazer.. the dress is fine.. maybe a little sweater if you are cold inside air conditioning. It is currently hot here.
  15. I got an email I believe this past Friday saying I was waitlisted. I know a handful of other people who also officially got waitlisted. The email said they had sent all acceptances and will send more out after they hear responses by April 16th. I'd have to reread for more detail, but that was the gist.
  16. Summer 2015... but good news is I think the results are coming out slow.. 1 or 2 people at a time. So, I'm sure everyone still has a chance.
  17. Hey.. go check now. =) I got in! I hope you did too!
  18. Yes... Mine has done same thing.. maybe they are updating them! =)... or maybe the portal is just done for the school.. lol but don't worry
  19. It is a pretty big city. There is lots to do, but it is quite hot. Areas outside of Tampa and where the University sit are nicer than Tampa itself, but its not a bad area to settle in. Make sure you are okay with heat though. I love the sun, but some people find it quite hot. If you google you will find tons of stuff going on. Tampa Bay Area has pretty much anything any big city has.. just not as much as NY or Chicago or a place like that. I love it here, but I am ready to move. =)
  20. Someone just wrote "I guess I am not going to be the next Carrie Bradshaw" when they got rejected to NYU ... love it!!! lol Sorry they didn't get in though =(
  21. Hey.. Congrats!! It is always a relief to know you have at least one yes. I hope you get into your top choice though too. Did you apply to suncoast track or residential track? Also, did you get an email or did the portal update? Or both? Thanks!!!
  22. This waiting game is for sure nerve wrecking. I do believe FAU gets a lot of applicants, but the average applicant is slightly less competitive then say FSU or UF. So, I think you have a good shot. Of course, who knows. There is as much luck as skill in these things. You can only put yourself in competition. The rest is out of your hands. Good luck! =)
  23. You've got this! Guess you can't guess who this is? lol
  24. I found it took me about a year to finish prerequisites and I am now applying for Fall 2015 for masters programs. I did the Graduate Prerequisite program at Florida State University (Online). I feel well prepared. I hope it will set me apart even though my original background was in Finance/Risk Management. There are many post-bacc. programs. A handful online too. However, it may be cheaper to take prerequisites at a local college. It is just scary to take classes as non-degree knowing you may or may not get the classes you need each semester. That is what I decided to do an actual program that guaranteed I would get all the classes I needed within a year. I hope you find this helpful.
