  1. Wow. This turned into a marketing thread for SAIS.... my impression is that the Columbia name carries better internationally, whereas SAIS is lesser known outside of the US. Is this just a stereotype? Question: is SAIS a place for Republicans ?
  2. Yeah, what the heck is taking so long.
  3. No answer either cadaujac, the post from the 26th is from an internal MIT candidate. The response time for the rest of us is unusually long.
  4. Needless to say for MIT, considering a $2 billion shrinking endowment, furloughs and budget cuts, labor productivity in the admissions process is not something we should expect.
  5. February is almost over. Notifications seem awfully late, considering this information: The TPP Open House for admitted students will be held in our TPP offices on Monday, March 15, 2010. More information will be posted on our website in February.
  6. Wow, results must be coming soon. Nothing here yet.
  7. Moo. What exactly is successful? Is this success ~2-3, 3-5, or more like 10-20 years after degree?
  8. Alright, who applied to SAIS and SIPA ?? They are both cheapskates in terms of funding. Are these programs really worth the debt ?
  9. I'm dead here too. Told I made the second round of 50, but rejected. Moving on.
  10. Apparently, ERG at Berkeley has had deep budget cuts so it may not admit the usual 11-15 students this year.
  11. Has anyone else applied and heard any admissions decisions from the Berkeley Energy and Resources Group ? Fall 2010?
  12. Any Portuguese here applying to the MIT Portugal program ?
  13. Thanks for this information regarding RA/TA positions. I guess it sounds like TPP students may have to hustle to find their own TA/RA positions.
  14. I don't see a decision here either. just "Application is under review"
  15. Thank you for applying to the Ph.D. program at The George Washington University. We understand that, if admitted, you may plan to seek financial aid to help finance your graduate education. Decisions regarding fellowships and assistantships awarded by the Trachtenberg School will be included in your official notification letter from the Columbian College. While you are awaiting the School's decision, we have posted information about financial aid on our website, and we also have several opportunities we would like to share with you now as their deadlines are approaching quickly: Do they really accept people to Ph.D. without funding ?
