  1. Hey Canadians, if you're interested in discussing Fall 2016 applications, there's a forum on the Canadian SLP site specifically designed to talk about SLP graduate school in Canada! Feel free to check it out!
  2. Hey! if you guys are thinking of applying for Fall 2016, feel free to join the discussion on Canadian SLP forum I'm sure things won't pick up until September but it can't hurt to start the conversation now!
  3. Hey Everyone, the first Student Spotlight is up on the website, featuring a student who was accepted for SLP at the University of Alberta this fall. If you have been accepted to a Canadian SLP program this year or you are a current student, we would love to feature you on CanadianSLP.com! Feel free to email me: danielle@canadianslp.com if you are interested in sharing your profile to help other future SLP students
  4. That's good to hear! I was waitlisted at Western... Hopefully that's good news, but the continued waiting is going to be difficult, especially if it means being in suspense until the beginning of the semester! Still waiting (like most people here) to see what U of T says this morning. Good luck everyone!
  5. Congrats to everyone who has already been accepted! I am hoping to write an article for www.CanadianSLP.com featuring some people who have been accepted to grad school. Hopefully this will allow aspiring SLPs have a good idea of what kind of candidates the schools are looking for. If you have been accepted, feel free to email me at canadianslpeducation@gmail.com. Thanks!
  6. Hey guys, I run the website www.CanadianSLP.com and I was thinking of doing a feature on people who were accepted to UofA, so that other applicants can get an idea of what your academic/volunteer profile (stats) are. Feel free to send me a direct message on here or an email at CanadianSLPeducation@gmail.com if you are interested in being featured! I'll follow up with some more specific questions and you guys can add to the thread any questions you might have for them as well.
  7. If any of you are interested in graduate school for SLP in Canada, check out this website www.CanadianSLP.com
  8. For anyone interested in graduate studies in SLP, check out the website www.canadianSLP.com for resources
  9. Definitely expect a response from Western and UofT either way on April 1st! (Unfortunately if you're not accepted, you'll also receive the news that day) I think it was Western that sent out responses right at 12 AM on April 1st last year.
  10. As far as I remember, I think they send an email sometime in February to tell you the GPA they calculated.
  11. I got the same letter from the University of Maine... I think it's associated with the GRE and selecting a box that allows people to contact you
  12. Does that mean you we're wait listed VancitySLP? I'm not holding out too much hope for UBC but would love to hear some news either way!
  13. Anyone applying to SLP also apply for Communicative Disorder Assistant college programs? Any pros or cons to taking this program? I was thinking if I don't get in this year maybe I should so that 1 year program and then try again...Thoughts?
