  1. Some schools are set up to focus on a specific area on each weekend. So if you're offered a date that is later than someone else, it may just be due to your specific area of interest and not a gauge of the school's level of interest in you. So don't panic if you're given a later date.
  2. At least for UNC-Chapel Hill, based on what I read on their website, they have several different weekends, each focused on particular areas. They prefer you come to the weekend that focuses on your area, but they recognize conflicts may exist, and you can arrange to go to any weekend.
  3. Congratulations to everyone who has received interview requests!
  4. My daughter received her invite to UNC-Chapel Hill BBSP earlier this afternoon for the weekend of Feb 4-6. Two down, five yet to hear from.
  5. Her main interest is Genetics/Genomics. I'm not sure what others she might have indicated, possibly cancer biology.
  6. My daughter just got an interview invite from UCLA.
  7. Good luck to you, too, Caffeine Junky! We live fairly close to Nashville, and I go there quite a bit. I also did my first two years of undergrad at Vandy. Let me know if I can answer any questions about the area for anyone. Daughter's first choices right now, pre-interview, are Vandy and Rockefeller (tie). I'm rooting for Vandy!
  8. Caffeine Junky, thanks for that info about the Vandy invites. My daughter submitted her completed app on Nov 30. We've been trying to figure out if those with invites already had submitted much earlier in the process than she did. She has pretty high stats and a great research record, at least in my not-so-unbiased opinion as her mom. She doesn't really do forums while I'm a forum geek in general, so I've done research here and shared some of what I've learned with her (at her request). I think I'm more nervous for her than she is right now.
