I prepared my Fav. Pasta and turned on a movie...unluckily, just checked my email in between to get the first Reject! This Pasta tastes funny, and I hate Movies! UGHHHHHHH!

Hey! I dun know if this has happened with anybody else or not. I registered for my GRE at the last moment just to be in time for admissions. Took it a lill while ago today. Studied over last week through BARRONS GRE prep. book. And knew every word of its quant section. I thought i wud take the practice ETS tests a day before the test adn das wat i did. To my surprise, not only questions format was some what different from BARRONS book, but there were lot more topics covered in ETS tests. Worked over night to cover the gap...but cud only muster 740 Q. SO DO NOT DEPEND SOLELY ON BARRONS. ALso, does any body know about the prep. books that may target exactly wats covered in the GRE now-a-days? I think i ll retake it for an ace.

Stockhom School o Economics is in the tope tier schools in the World. Your profile says u have brilliant chances o being in top 20s. Al dat matters is wat u wana do next..after PhD! dat would better describe if u shud go for top 10 or top 30-40. Get some courses in Mutli Vbl calc., topology...! Concentrate on Recomendation letters! My school was top 3 in Econ. in UK, and my prof. said: U wana do Phd and b accepted everywhere BUT USA, do it from here. U wana b ACCEPTED globally..USA! Missing Economics wont hurt ur chances, specially wen u apply to US unis. I have witnessed many physicists and mathematicians in PhD Econ here. Bcz they give you basic economics courses in first yr o PhD. But in UK its different, even then, basic economics is not something you wont get by reading books...u can mention in ur applciation ur readings. Economcis departments want statistics courses, but prefer if u have doen 'em from maths department instead of stats. Best o luk!

I got registered for a GRE on 2nd January, 10. But my application deadline is the same. Or in few cases 15th January. 1: If I report the scores to them on my application, and they get the score card directly from ETS later, would that still be considered incomplete application? 2: If I attach my old GRE scores instead, and send them the new ones once they are available, would that save me the trouble? Please help!
