Not to be a buzz kill but you can be an alternate for MONTHS. However, if you made it on the alternate list, there's a high chance you got OGS. I was an alternate last year for NSERC but ended up getting OGS. Not sure how it works if you're not studying in Ontario
The first paragraph should be a really short lit review & its significance to your your proposed research (i.e. why are you researching what you state/your objectives)
The middle paragraph should be your methods & hypotheses
The last paragraph should be the significance of your proposed work to Canada (if applicable) and/or to the field itself
Good luck!
I am applying for a second-year MSc. Didn't get it last year but I got OGS.. Not sure if I will continue to do a PhD so hoping I will get it for my last year of my Masters
Good luck to everyone
Did your supervisor read the proposal? He/she would tell you if you had too much jargon. The application gets reviewed by your department and they should be knowledgeable with the "jargon"
On a separate note, is anyone having technical issues with the application? The selection buttons don't seem to work for me in that nothing appears when I try to type something in the selection box and no options are shown so I can't actually pick my school...
