  1. Has anyone spoke with the financial aid and tuition offices at their future school and received little to no help? When I called both schools I was accepted to to discuss how much tuition for the whole program would be, they lead me to their online websites. It's just very frustrating trying to get a close to exact budget for the next two years without any help from these schools. I understand tuition will rise, but it infuriates me that they don't even have a sample budget for speech-language pathology students from the previous year. Any suggestions on what to do? Just needed to vent a little!
  2. So far, Wayne State seems really organized. They have replied to my emails really quick and the staff seems nice. The information session was helpful and some of the current graduate students talk to you and you can ask them questions. They all really seem to like it as well! I am most excited about the clinical experiences that this program offers. As far as the area, the building that most of our classes is in is wedged in between the Detroit Institute of Art (museum) and the Michigan science center. So the area is pretty populated but as always just be aware of your surroundings. I've lived in the metro Detroit area my whole life and some suggestions on good places to live would be Royal Oak or Ferndale! Both are highly populated with young people, both have interesting restaurants and bars, and they're safe and not insanely priced. Royal oak is about 15 or 20 minutes away from campus so not a far drive at all. Hope this helps!
