    My daughter was recently accepted to University of Oregon.  We didn't see anything about an open house or "visit day".  Where did you find out about this and can you tell us when the open house is?  Thanks so much!

      Thanks!  Still waiting to hear from a few more schools.  She was denied at SDSU which was her first choice.  She was really hoping to be able to come back home.  She is nervous that Eugene is just too far away.  Are you leaning towards UO?

      I am leaning towards UO, however a lot depends on funding, unfortunately.  I am a non-traditional student - married with two boys, 6 and 9, so I suppose my perspective is very different from hers.  Eugene is a nice city - has your daughter ever visited Oregon?  The beaches are gorgeous - they put our California beaches to shame!  But it is a drive - about an hour from Eugene.  Let me know if you/she have any more questions!
