The same for Chicago and NYU. They have notified those admitted already, but maybe waiting to see how many
of them decline before sending out final rejection letters. UCLA it seems, is sending out rejections in small
batches. The wait is killing me...
I'm telling myself not to get my hopes up too much. There are just too many on this "de facto waiting list,"
several just on this page and several more amongst the fellow applicants at my school.
Maybe if we could survive another round of rejections...
Finish up my MA thesis, then get a job.. After which I will wonder what could have been until December
comes, when I will have to frantically contact professors for references again for my second try.
Or maybe I will like my job...
Anybody else not heard from UCLA, Duke? Unlike some of the other schools that have
notified exclusively those admitted/wait-listed(Chicago, Columbia, Cornell, etc),
these two seem to have e-mailed many
that have been rejected as well. So, is there still hope if you haven't heard from them?
Starting to lunge at those last straws now..
