I'm so sorry to hear that Horb I think they really need to redo their method of releasing results, the "keep you hanging" game was just awful. All your info and detective work through this thread has been so appreciated!
Let us know if you hear anything!
I wonder if the fact they had that whole double website/switchover/one website being down shenanigans back in November/December (anyone else remember this?) has anything to do with it....Maybe they've done a system overhaul and the learning curve is what is making it slower?
Or maybe that's my wishful thinking
Hey! Sorry for the confusing wording - I read here that statuses were changing, messaged him, he checked and saw the status had changed - though not sure WHEN it changed. This was yesterday at around 4:30-5pm EST, so I am guessing he just doesn't check as often as I do...
If the selections are inconsistently sent out that's maybe my one bit of hope... I'm applying from Canada, and my friend who received the funding is lower down in the alphabet than I am.... :/
Still no change for me either, and my friend who I applied with just saw his status changed to "Funding"....Sigh.... I guess there's always next year.
And congrats to everyone who has received their funding!!!
Mine was 3, 1.5 spaced. During the application process I contacted the Canadian offices in Toronto and was told the Tabular CV and Letter of Intent could be max. 3 pages each, with no specifications on margins or font.
Another anxious intensive language grant applicant here. I am so happy to have found this forum after discovering today that my status has changed (when? who knows...still can't understand why they don't send out e-mail notifications!) to "selection made."
Has anyone worked up the nerve to e-mail them about a timeline? Or heard anything more?
Hey Everyone - has anyone had any news yet? I'm starting to think it's probably not happening for me, but would love to know if anyone else made it through!
I also haven't heard anything....
I noticed on the Cloister's internship page they mention they send out invitations late February/early March, so for anyone else who applied for the Brummer digitization project hope is not lost!!
Hey kaleidescopelove! The grad app was also due on the 23rd. I don't think you need to be worried about it yet, it's still fairly early in the game, and they have a lot of applications to sift through. I think about 3 weeks is normal for processing/getting in contact with candidates.
Although now that I type this, I'm suddenly nervous...#waitinggame
No worries, Lotje19! I applied for the Cloisters Library position, and the European Painting (19th Century) position...which is one of the most popular ones - or so I've heard .
I think the most confusing part is the departments are responsible for contacting their individual applicants, so notifications come out at different times/are highly variable? Not 100% sure on that though...
