  1. Yeah, I've been consistently stalking the results from the last few years to try and make a projected date for the invites (I was hoping the 12th or 13th) but I guess I'll wait it out.... sigh
  2. Thanks for the advice, I emailed the home program specifically and got an automatic reply saying "Interview invites will be sent by the beginning of February" Not so helpful...
  3. Has anyone heard from the Stem Cell Biology & Regenerative Medicine home program at Stanford Bioscience? I'm trying to decide whether I should go ahead and accept a different interview offer that happens on their weekend or hold out hope that they haven't sent invites yet...
  4. That's basically the response I got from Weill Cornell... gee, thanks.
  5. Now I've seen several MIT results go up, I guess I believe the Jan. 9th thing after all, oh well!
  6. I still find it a bit hard to believe that MIT Biology has sent all of the invites when I have only seen one person on the results page get an interview, shouldn't there at least be a couple people who got the interviews here?
  7. Ugh! I'm in the same situation, I'm so disappointed that some of my more competitive programs are only having 1 weekend and are not doing Skype interviews. I really hadn't expected this to happen
  8. Same, I have interviews on both NYU and Weill Cornell's dates, but hopefully they will accommodate me!
  9. NYU Sackler and Weill Cornell BCMB!
  10. I was told they met on Thursday and will send invites next week!
  11. Anyone who has been through this before, what is the protocol for conflicting interviews? I have been offered 3 interviews so far, and luckily, none conflict, but what is the best course of action if/when the interviews are scheduled for the same weekend? I'm afraid and hopefully optimistic that I get enough interviews for this to be an issue. Thanks!

  13. Thanks Applemiu and ss2player! And no worries, my list is actually currently sitting around 14 schools, but I didn't really want to take the time to write all of them out, I won't make the mistake of only applying to a couple!
  14. Thanks guys, it is good to hear that I am probably okay!
  15. I am going to be applying for schools in the fall (particularly Stem Cell/Regenerative Medicine PhD programs) and I am wondering how crucial it is to have a publication as an undergraduate. Currently, I am second author on a publication that has recently been rejected, and I am unsure whether we will be accepted by the time my applications roll around. Is it possible to get into a relatively good/top school without a publication? Here are my stats: Undergraduate institution: Top 20 Private Research Institution GPA: General: 3.90, Science: 3.917 Major: Neurobiology Scores: GRE: V: 168, Q:163 Biology Subject test: 89 percentile Research Experience: I have been working in a cellular reprogramming lab for 3 years now and have 2 manuscripts in progress LOR: 3 from Undergraduate professors, 1 from PI Awards: 2014 Goldwater Scholarship Schools I'm looking at: NYU WUSTL Duke Stanford
