  1. For the people who gotten interviews last year did the tab look like that for interview request???? Keep in mind that Yale's application thingy has been pretty glitchy this year, (I'm a victim of it) but I hope it's good news. Only tomorrow will tell people....
  2. I'm also waiting on Printmedia!! I thought today would've been the day for us, but I guess not.... Has anyone else heard form SAIC Printmedia Dept...
  3. @paint_and_destroy Umm looks like it says *Status Submitted 01/11/2016*. I'll find out if I was consider when I received some kind of admission decision of some kind and thanks @Alment
  4. I got a hit on my site from New Heaven, Connecticut around 2 weeks ago. Not sure if it's from someone on this site or Yale...
  5. You have to search 'Yale', then it should be the first one! It's just not showing up under 'Yale MFA' for some reason.
  6. My website got viewed from UPenn school server last week , hopefully that's a good sign?!?!? They mostly went through my writing which is great becouse I wasnt able to include them in my app. Oh and for the UPenn hopefuls, they will begin contacting applicants for interviews after the 5th of February.
  7. Did the people who had trouble with their app get it figured out with Yale Admission team?
  8. Thank you for taking a look! I applied for the interdisciplinary studio program at UCLA, being considered a painter is odd for me. Did you apply at UCLA also?
  9. For me I felt like I was freaking out last year for other people and I wasn't evening applying. Keeping forgetting that I actually applied this year, been keeping busy with my last seamster of undergrad. SAIC seems to be on top of things this year with notifications, almost applied to Low-res but decided on Printmedia instead.
  10. Hey Ya'll: Newly design website: www.alexanderkevinwrencher.com I do stuff canvas sculptural printmaking painting pieces, Ik it sounds kinda weird. I only applied to UCLA, SAIC and UPENN, just three schools sadly. Something weird happened to my Yale application, so I'm not sure if it even went through (Oh well, *shrugs). My first choice is UPenn, their international thesis sounds dreamy, young and fresh! Currently still undergoing my undergrad so no rush really, sending good vibes to everyones apps!!!! @BlCEO- Your works was my favorite last year, surprise that you didn't land somewhere! I'm sure this year is your year, good luck man!!!!
  11. Sooooooooo, did anyone apply to USC Roski School of Art and Design MFA program? I know there was a HUGE controversy last year regarding funding for their first years, wondering if anyone applied or considered applying? From the looks of everyone signatures and the general conversation, seems like USC program has been forgotten about.
  12. Just finish applying to UCLA today just got my Penn application left!!! I'm thinking about applying to Rutgers, anyone have any information on their program???
  13. What do you mean? I haven't herd anything questionable about their funding, they appear to be generous...? Yeah, UPenn program is unique in terms of it engaging itself with the international art scene. Honestly I'm just so sick of America, I just wanna see other places to be honest. Thank you for responding also!! Congrats on OSU!
  14. Definitely try the UPenn. Their MFA Thesis Exhibition is in a different country ever year. In 2014 they had it in Vienna and last year it was in Brussels. They also have some connection with the American Academy in Rome which will be fully funded residency programs and a program in Lugoland Project in Lugo, Italy. UPenn application deadline is Jan 12, UMich application deadline passed yesterday. http://www.design.upenn.edu/fine-arts/graduate/work/2015-pennmfa-brussels
  15. Damn...You're applying to the two most selective MFA programs in the game! My Yale application was acting strange, not sure what's going on with their system, wasn't able to actually submit my application last night. Right now I'm waiting to hear back from admission regarding the issue, so who knows. Yale wasn't my first choice, so I'm not bothered by it. Best of luck to you also!!!
  16. Did you get contacted by anyone form admissions yet..
  17. Yep, I pressed exclude! That's the only way you can delete the extra recommendation. I'm over it, Yale application has expired now, deadline passed... *waves goodbye*
  18. I did check exclude, that what's I meant by delete...
  19. You're not the only one!! Mines is saying that that I may only list three recommenders. Tried deleting the extra one that I didn't actually send out, but it want delete. Not sure what to do honestly. Just got done emailing the Senior Admission person at Yale, maybe others are having the same problems....
  20. I sure hope that my acceptance to a school wouldn't ride on if I waived my right to view my own letter of recommendation, that's essentially is all about me. If the admission committees does consider the significants of a rec letter base on if it was waived or not, then I would hope they would state this risk somewhere. Checking with the school admission team might be best if you are really worried. On the Yale application it says the following; The Family Educational and Privacy Act of 1974 (Buckley Amendment) allows you to access your Educational records if you enroll at YALE SCHOOL OF ART. You may waive your right of access to this specific report if you so choose. Your decision to waive or not to waive your right of access has no bearing on the handling of your application.
  21. Sadly I might have to drop Yale ....they don't offer a application fee waivers, all my other schools have waive my app fee. Maybe somehow I'll be bless with a extra $100.00 from now into the Yale deadline in early Jan. Doesn't Yale have like an billion dollar endowment-- I'm so confused.... Added UCLA to the list, really like some of their faculty and alumni, their application is also pretty straight forward and I can apply for a fee waiver!! Currently looking around to add another school to replace Yale. (Close to New York) Now I'm looking further into schools like Tyler, Cornell, Rutgers... Tomorrow I'll be re documenting my work with a fancy camera and finishing my MFA artist statement. I'll be done with my application before the New Years, so If anyone want to do a artist statement exchange, inbox me!!!
  22. Is anyone applying to Skowhegan or have attended Skowhegan in the past? Currently doing my application for them and the Ox-Bow Fellowship. Tips, advice...?
  23. I live in Milwaukee and I don't recommend UW-Milwaukee. Try looking into UW-Madison, they have excellent MFA program and pretty generous with aid. Please do share your experience, I would love to hear more about UPENN and UChicago MFA programs. Applying to UPENN, thinking of UChicago....
  24. 09welshs All you really need is a digital portfolio and your artist statement. Bringing your physical work is optional, personally don't recommend it. I brought some prints, but I didn't bother to show them, they seem comfortable with looking at my computer screen. Honesty simulating how your work will be viewed during admission process might work in your favor. I'm looking to get feedback on my work documentation as well. Didn't see anyone dress up last year, whatever makes you comfortable. Maybe having your work on a powerpoint slides or something that doesn't required internet, just encase. Including your resume and business card wouldnt hurt or be crucial.
  25. Is anyone going to the SAIC Graduate Open House Friday, October 4th OR has anyone attended SAIC Graduate Open House event in the pass...?
