    How many drafts did your research proposal go through before it was application ready? I need to remind myself that it's okay my 2nd draft is far from polished and that it's normal to re-write, re-write, re-write.

      honestly, it's impossible to keep count of drafts, with the endless small edits, re-writes, and additions you'll make until the bitter end. I think most of my grant proposals were at least 5-6 full drafts; my diss proposal is currently on the 4th. It never ends!
