Definitely apply! From my own experience, I'd say you are no doubt a very competitive candidate!
I got accepted into 2 clinical psych programs even though I had way less clinical and applied experiences than you. I did however have a handful of conferences and publications but nothing that impressive. As long as your grades (GPA & GRE's) are pretty good, I'm sure you would be able to score some interviews given your current stats.
Best of luck!

I have UBC stuck on received by administrator as well. I gather from previous years' threads that results are posted over the next few days, and that we will eventually receive an email saying our status has changed and to check the portal.
My status was also "received by administrator" for UBC

I second Magoosh! It was worth the $100 to upgrade my account to access all their instructional videos and practice questions. Also their free GRE vocab flashcards helped me tremendously on the verbal section!

I emailed my POI today with my decision to regretfully decline his offer.
- University: Lakehead University
- Program: Clinical psychology
Good luck to anyone on the waitlist at Lakehead!

Thanks for posting and congrats! I've been quite nervous. I know I am one of the top two for one POI at UofM but I have no idea about where I am at Lakehead in line. Very, very nerve wracking!
Thank you & all the best to you!
If you're wondering who my POI is, feel free to PM me.

Lakehead update: POI extended an unofficial offer of acceptance over the phone!
He also mentioned that other profs are still sending in their recommendations. So if you're still waiting to hear back from your POI, don't lose hope!

Any news on Lakehead anyone?
Hey! I received an email from my POI at Lakehead today requesting a time for a phone conversation. He didn't say anything about the purpose of the call in the initial email. In the follow-up email, he wrote that "actual telephone calls generally are for good news type things."
I'm guessing he's calling to extend an unofficial offer of acceptance.
You can DM me if you're curious who my POI is!

Hi @Just_Waiting I applied to Lakehead, McGill, Dalhousie, Concordia and UNB. Eeee this waiting is intense and it seems interview invites have already gone out?
I emailed the coordinator for Lakehead and she informed me that successful applicants will be notified "within probably by the end of the month." They are still reviewing the applicants. I also found out that Lakehead doesn't have interviews.
Not all hope is lost! Fingers crossed!

I was accepted to UTSC Clinical Psychology. I received a phone call from Dr. Bagby, not Minnie. My interview was in person during the interview days on Jan 25/26.
Congrats!!

Would you mind PMing me your POI at Regina? Congratulations!!
Yep, of course! Thanks!

Received a formal rejection email from UBC but offered a Skype interview from my POI at the University of Regina! The rejection email literally came 5 minutes after my interview offer. It definitely cushioned the disappointment of a rejection haha!
Good luck to everyone & hang in there!

I'm waiting to hear from Western as well. Given that the deadline wasn't until Jan 5th, I'd imagine we won't hear back for a while. Keep me posted if you hear anything (and I'll do the same)!
Will do! Thanks!

Still waiting to hear back from Western, UBC, Lakehead, UTSC, and Regina...

Such a useful thread! Thanks everyone for posting!

Thanks ! To you too!
Supporting documents deadline is Jan 4th, right?
Also, who's your POI? I'm applying to zakzanis
Ya something like that haha.
Amanda Uliaszek, Erika Carlson and Marc Fournier. But I only only really want to work with Drs. Uliaszek or Carlson!

Anyone dreading this period of uncertainty from now until sometime in January as much as I am? I find myself constantly reviewing my (already submitted) applications, re-reading my CV, SoPs... Searching for more information about previous applicants/current students in these programs..
Gees.Me! Also checking gradcafe religiously...

I'm a bit worried right now since one of my programs is still saying that my application is incomplete because it hasn't received any of my transcripts. I sent them at the beginning of November to make sure they'd get there in time, and they've received my GRE scores and all. Do you think I should contact the department/school?
Yes! It doesn't hurt to make sure everything is in order. I did that for one of the schools and the day after they immediate updated my transcript status from not received to received. Sometimes graduate offices make mistakes and it's better to make sure those mistakes don't cost you your entire application! Good luck!

Feeling the same way, applying as an undergrad and hearing other grad students talk about how you need a 4.0 and a publication to get it is pretty discouraging though.
Plus how late we hear about results (April? Whyyyy??) makes it awkward for grad program applications.
I see we are on the same boat! Good luck!!

Last 24 hours - how are they coming?
Just submitted my application a couple days ago. This is my first time applying for the CGS-M so I don't really know what I'm doing to be honest LOL

It usually only takes ~ 1 week, but bear in mind it might be because the school hasn't yet allocated the GRE score to your file, so it still shows up to you as not received. As a rule of thumb, wait a couple weeks after the deadline. If you have heard nothing and they are still not showing up, give them a call.
Oh I see, that makes sense. Thanks!
SSHRC Doctoral Award/CGS (funding for 2018-2019)

Univ. of Regina student here! I was notified by the Department Head that I had won a "SSHRC Doctoral Award" via e-mail last Friday. I was expecting the results to be announced mid-May so the email came as a total surprise (a very pleasant one, I must say)! He didn't specify whether it's the Fellowship (20k) or the Bombardier Award (35k), though. Hoping it's the latter, but I am so grateful and honoured to have been a successful applicant regardless of which award I received! Good luck to those waiting for their results!
