Hello colleagues,
I am TAing sociological theory and I do not easily find online free teaching resources- as case studies, videos, ideas to engage students... I always tend to engage students through group work, but not always successful.
Any online teaching resources you use? I am aware of sociological cinema.
Also, do not forget that you have the chance to apply after 2 years to permanent residency in Canada. So you will not only be learning in a top school, but also having the chance of getting another passport in the future.
Hello all,
I keep receiving invitations from my university to join golden key honour society (https://www.goldenkey.org/) , since it offers awards and scholarships for distinguished students. Membership is restricted to A/A+ students, yet there is a membership fee.
Do you know about it? Is it worth it?
Hello all,
I wonder what workshops/ habits/ advices.... you follow to improve your writing skills?
I am having some issues translating my thoughts into proper academic english ( well yes, English is my 4th language, but it is never an excuse). Writing centers at university offer basic workshops.

Do u know of any sociology online book clubs, where members actively discuss sociology related books?

A very interesting question indeed. I cook, I do not use processed food, I mainly use organic food ( in summer, all our veggies are from the garden), and I am an activist against GMO food. But I have to confess that sometimes ( may be once a month) i have these cravings for junk and ready to eat food.
Hello,
This is my first post on the forum.
Do you know/ use any software or Microsoft project type , to plan the thesis project, showing you all the steps and key milestones from day 1 till defense.?
I want to have one, but prefer to have something ready, rather than losing time preparing it
