Rejected at Berkeley. No surprise. At this point, should I end up going 1 for 14, I'll feel blessed.

Is there any moderator with the power to at some point erase last week's fake Yale-Harvard-Princeton results and today's fake Columbia-Harvard results? While everyone here right now has figured it out, I feel bad for people next year who are going to be totally confused about what's going on.

I'm also in at Columbia. I have no idea how this happened. I am screaming with joy.

Sorry for all those who're getting bad news. I claimed a Berkeley acceptance last week, but I haven't seen anyone else on this forum accepted there for theory. Anyone?

    Hey fellow UCSD admits!

I just thought we should have a place to come together, chat, and introduce ourselves before we meet down at the open house.

My name is Taylor, and my main field is IR. Right now I'm interested in all things conflict, but I'm most interested in conflict termination (though I'm sure that's going to change a lot). I'm coming straight out of undergrad having taken only two political science courses (Intro. and International), so I'm kind of nervous of making an idiot of myself and having to play catch-up. I mostly studied Econ, but found the field too dry and realized my passion for PoliSci a bit late during a guest lecture in my Economic Development class.

I study right now in Northern California (Stockton), but I'm originally from down south in Ventura County (about 2.5 hrs north of San Diego). I'm excited to come back to the best weather in the country! My boyfriend of 5 years is going to try to get transfered down there as soon as he can, and I'm curious if there's any other couples/families moving together.

OK- so like most of you on this forum, I simply can't stand the waiting and am looking forward for this process to be over. So I did a little phone calling today to try and get the facts straight on things. The following schools should be sending notifications, according to my conversations, at the listed times:

UCSD- Most likely next week, week after at the latest
    Rochester- Next week
MIT- End of this month, or early next month
UT-Austin- Despite some reports about decisions this week, the woman I spoke with (although it wasn't Megan Mulligan) said "one to two weeks"
Emory- Next week if you haven't heard this week (ie we'll make sure to send the formal rejection)
    Notre Dame- Two weeks probably
    UNC-CH- "The next couple weeks"
Iowa- Said because of budget cuts they weren't sure about whether they'd be able to fund students this year (I hope this doesn't set off a huge firestorm on the board), but probably three weeks when we do hear

Anyhow, that's what I gathered if it's useful to anybody
