  1. Hi guys, I'm heading to Massart in September for their MFA program---I sent in my deposit back in March but haven't heard ANYTHING besides a phone call in early April about additional scholarship money. Is this normal? I guess I was expecting some kind of incoming student packet, an email address, a plan for advising and registration or something. Has anyone else going to Massart gotten any info? I have emailed the graduate department but haven't gotten a reply (probably they are between Spring/Summer semesters, so I'll try again in a week or two.) Also, I'm curious how other accepted students in Boston and other metropolitan areas are dealing with finding housing. I absolutely cannot afford to live alone, but am unsure of how to go about finding a roommate safely, but with cities its my understanding that I should have housing sorted out sooner rather than later. Any advice? Or even better---any grad students in Boston looking for a female roommate? Thanks!
  2. MassArt (studio for interrelated media) - interview Bard (music/sound (yea yea, i know it's not visual, but I predominantly work with installations) - interview Any other SIM applicants here?
  3. Received an email from Massart today that I have an interview. Applied for the SIM program. Still waiting on Bard!
  4. Is anyone else applying to intermedia/new media programs? I'm curious to know other people's backgrounds. I'm applying to Massart's SIM program and Bard's summer MFA program with a concentration in sound/music. I've got a Bachelor of Music in composition, but I've been working with installation and performance art primarily for the past 2 years. Only two schools for now for me because I haven't had a whole lot of time to develop a really cohesive portfolio...but we'll see!
