  1. It probably means that most people have already accepted their offers. After all, there is only one more day left. I imagine that there will be more things happening the day after tomorrow. As for me, I took an offer from Bryn Mawr. I finally scrolled through the forum, and was disappointed when I realized that they really would have helped cope with some of the anxiety of waiting. Oh well... Which way are you leaning?
  2. Is there anyone who has offers and is still undecided?
  3. Two of my friends got into the Ancient History program there and took the spots. I don't actually know if that is a separate department or if it is combined with Classics. Spots at California, Princeton, UCLA, Stanford, and Columbia should have opened up fairly recently though. That is, if memory serves.
  4. For any waitlisters out there: I know that there will be some spots at major schools opening up soon. Keep the faith!
  5. I turned down an offer of acceptance from Boston University for the PhD, an offer from WashU for the MA, and I asked to be taken off of the waitlist at Rutgers. Good luck to everyone!
  6. From what they told me, the PhD program at WashU was started as a result of the findings in a study conducted by a third party, and the study was enough to convince administration that it was a great idea. They have spent the last several years building up their resources in the library in order to support PhD students. It would be a great choice for anyone who is particularly interested in the Mediterranean economy, since they have an outstanding collection of coins (the Wulfing collection).
