  1. Haha, thanks! I was really worried that my GPA wouldn't stack up (so many 3.9s and 4.0s on the results page!) so I studied my tail off for the GRE.
  2. Just got my first acceptance, SDSU!
  3. Just got my first (conditional) acceptance, San Diego State! Totally shocked, I had basically written off any chance of getting in there because of how crazy competitive I heard it was. Such a relief!
  4. Do you think schools use the list of your FAFSA schools to help make admissions decisions? I'm worried that because I'm applying to so many schools (9), the individual schools might notice all the other schools listed on my FAFSA and decide that I must not be particularly interested in their specific program.
  5. Did you call the general admissions office or the CSD departments?
  6. Has anyone called programs to make sure your application is complete? I've been checking websites etc but with deadlines coming up fast I'm getting paranoid about my files not being complete.
  7. While Macs are certainly great machines, you can get a PC laptop with the same or better specs for much cheaper! I personally recommend Lenovo - I got a laptop from them two years ago (mostly for gaming, but obviously can be used for school/work purposes as well) for about $800 and I LOVE it. Lenovos have a reputation for durability, which is a definite plus for me. They have a neat tool that might give you an idea of what kind of laptop you could get within your budget: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/landingpage/laptop-finder/ I'm considering getting one of their Yoga convertible tablets (the kind with attached keyboard that you can flip around in a bunch of configurations) for portability/convenience of taking notes in classes etc, although I don't know that I'd recommend one as a primary computer because of the smaller hard drive. Anyway, that's my case for Lenovo/PC laptops, hope it's helpful!
  8. Before I saw the video requirement I was planning on applying there, but that combined with the essay prompt made me decide to go for another CSU. Which is probably part of the reason behind it - to make sure those who apply are really, really interested in/committed to the program. I just don't care enough about going to CSUS to put in the extra effort.
  9. I'm working on putting in my coursework info for CSDCAS and had a few questions: - For the 'Course Title' field, do I need to put exactly what is on my transcript even if it's an abbreviation? For example: transcript says "Hon Hum Sem in Wrt", but the full course title is "Honors Humanities Seminar in Writing". Which should I put? - Do you create a separate term for AP scores? Or include them in your first freshman term? Any advice is appreciated!
