Hello all... So I'm heading to Emory this summer fall. In looking around at housing options, I've narrowed down my list to President Park Complex and Highland Lake Complex. Any suggestions/insight would be helpful and greatly appreciated. I'm an international student, and I'm abroad right now, so I won't actually have a chance to visit and look around before moving in several months. Thanks for your help! Visca el Barca...!

Hello again, In terms of my notification - I just received an email on Monday. It was from the DGS, and said "congrats" etc. It mentioned some of the strides being made in the dept. in recent years. Also, touched upon things like funding, stipend, etc. Finally, it mentioned the "admit visit day" in early March, I believe, and offerred an invitation to attend. I did not have an interview. During the application process I did email several profs discussing my interests. Also, I sent an email after submitting my application to ask when a decision could be expected. To everyone who has heard good news from all over - Congrats. To those waiting - be patient and good luck! I wish much success and happiness to all of us in our grad-school pursuits.!!

Hey captiv8ed! Congrats on getting in at IOWA. I got in there also. I'm trying to set-up a good time to visit. I don't know enough about, except for some things I've been told by one of my undergrad profs (who wrote a letter and went to IOWA also). I think they will have 4-5 in the cohort for next year.

I got into Notre Dame. The notification was an email. Pretty excited as it was high on my list. I'm sure they'll start notifying others soon! Probably just did it alphabetically, as my surname starts with A

Thanks for the positive replies all. I'll start looking at various research/publications of the dept. more in depth. I'm both excited and intrigued by what lay ahead!!

Hello fellow applicants, Hope you are all well and receiving positive feedback from your prospective schools. I've been invited to an all-expenses covered, recruitment weekend for early February. The email suggested that there will be an opportunity to meet current grad students, faculty/staff, and look over the campus and facilities. I don't really know what to expect in terms of the things I should bring (clothes - formal/casual/etc), questions to ask/expect to answer? I want to showcase myself in the best possible way and allow the committee to see my strengths. Any advice or past experiences from others would be so helpful and appreciated!! Thanks!!!
