  1. Looks like EE results are out (going by the results search), anybody heard from CS?
  2. Looks like someone has been interviewed, and accepted into MIT CS PhD (in results search). Thought MIT did not interview, and roundup meeting was yet to be held?
  3. @pascal_barbots_wager: excellent! please do keep the thread posted on how it goes..
  4. I have a similar concern about UCSD CS PhD admission as well. One user has posted an admit in the results section. No other posts.
  5. There are a couple of "Accepted" entries posted in the results section. Does anybody know if the first batch of results are out, or are these just a handful of "exception" admits?
  6. @sisyphus1: I'm a CS undergrad (international) from not a well known college. Around 11 years of industry experience (system software startup founding member, acquired by a big tech company)
  7. I was contacted by two profs. First was my POI. Next from a prof in the ad-comm. My background is a bit atypical. ~11years of work experience (startup; acquired), lots of open source. undergrad from not a well known college.
  8. I have applied for PhD in the new cms program at CalTech as well. Yet to hear anything at all.
  9. Applying for CS PhD GRE First attempt - Q=170, V=160, AWA=3.5. Realized AWA %ile is below 50, decided to retake. Second attempt - Q=168, V=159, AWA=4.5 Is avoiding the low 3.5 AWA more important than showing off a perfect 170 in quant? Which score should I be sending? I'm applying to Stanford, UCB, MIT (no gre needed), Harvard (can cross register at MIT), Caltech, UCI, UCSD. Thoughts and opinions appreciated!
