got my financial aid award and it just has direct loans on it? i was really really hoping for something more. i'm also confused; if we got awarded scholarships by the department, would they show up on our financial aid summary, or are they something else entirely? i just want to know that i actually have that money. i'm really worried that i won't be able to afford to go with juts 20,500 in stafford loans...

has someone called in to admissions yet? -
im also still waiting to hear back (from the MSW program). the site says we won't hear back until it's been 6-8 weeks since our materials displayed as "complete" on the application portal, but i'm pretty sure it's been a lot longer than that since mine were updated...

UIC MSW Program--How hard is it to get in?

yep UIC is the last school i'm waiting on. i've heard it's a little easier to get in, but they do take 1,000,000 years to get back to prospective students about admit decisions, so i'm sticking it out till april at least. -

I just got the email. Denied. I'm heartbroken, honestly, but life goes on. Good luck to everyone else! -
if your nearest city has a community college that offers online courses, i recommend taking that route. i also get the feeling that each program has a different standard for what credits they will accept/how well you need to do in the course. for example, i am applying for UW and Columbia and while UW only requires that you obtain a statistics credit (D for diploma basically), Columbia requires that you make a B or better. i would imagine that the same principle would apply for the types of credits that each program will count toward your requirement. i hope that helped a little bit!!!

was that for advanced standing or regular day? -
haven't heard from UW seattle, but on their "new msw students" page, the entering MSW cohort FB pages have been updated to reflect the 2015-2016 school year, which is a recent change (I am WAY too observant when i'm anxious lol). i'm assuming this means we'll be hearing back very soon!!!!!
