Is that the only sloan interview date? is it the 13th and 14th? That's weird that it's during the week. When did you get the interview invite if you don't mind my asking?

Just checked my Sloan Kettering application to see if the interview tab was there and it said my application was still incomplete! I sent my GRE scores on 11/13 and they still didn't make it. I called the administrator from GSK and they said I would still be considered as long as I put my scores in the application. Thank god!

two people already posted rejections from Sloan-Kettering...my #1 choice so nervous.....

I waited about a week to respond to johns hopkins. I was going to wait to see if I got more interviews first but then I decided it wasn't worth the gamble for such a good program. Ideally I wan't to go to NYC so I responded to Sinai right away (they also gave me a deadline of a few days to respond) and I haven't responded to UPenn yet because according to previous years NYU Sackler and Columbia should be sending out invites soon (maybe this week?)

What columbia program did you apply to and when did you hear back?

I was so nervous when I saw that everyone had received invites from Sinai today because I had looked at my phone and it showed no new emails. Then I logged onto my email on my computer and there it was!! Interview from Mt Sinai Cancer Biology!

Just got an email to interview for Johns Hopkins Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences!!!

I think you're only allowed to look at the past month. Has anyone been able to use this to look at the 2014 applicant pool?

Has anyone ever compiled a list of programs and the most likely time period that they will give notice about interviews (based on previous years)? I have sifted a little through last year's forum and found that NYU Sackler gave notice around December 20th. If anyone else has info about other programs it would be great to put it on here so we at least know more or less when to expect them!

So then how is one supposed to know how competitive a given school is?

Really? I didn't think miami, upenn, or GW were that competitive. The only top-10 school in my list is Johns Hopkins. Originally I was only applying to the 5 NYC schools and then my advisers told me what you just told me so I added the other four. Even if they are competitive I should at least get into 1 out of 9, right? I am also very personable so I think that if I get interviews I'll have a pretty good shot.

Awards/Honors/Recognitions: Member of the honors college of my university. Three-time recipient of a student research award by my school's undergraduate research program. On the dean's list every semester. LORs: One from my PI, one from the director of the honors program, and one from a science professor. My PI is very well known in her field and has worked at both Harvard and MIT. I am confident that she will write me a very strong letter. Applying to Where: For all Universities, my research interest is the forefront between the hard sciences and medicine. I am specifically interested in cancer research, and therefore have applied to PhD programs in the biomedical sciences: Sloan-Kettering Mount Sinai NYU Sackler Columbia Biomedical Sciences Rockefeller UPenn Johns-Hopkins GW joint program with NIH UMiami I have no idea what my chances are! Any thoughts?
